Feel where it counts the most...around the greens.

I decided to go with the 54*/9* MP model. Since coming off of the older 588s & 485s Clevs, there is a noteable difference in "feel" that I couldn't imagine before. Sure, the material makes a difference, however, by making this move, I have realized that having gained the "touch of feel" I found to have it's most impact around the greens.
This wedge by Mizuno has added a positive in my short game in regards to the confidence and the ability to place the ball closer to my landing target on the greens in the chipping arena.
Bear with me while I'm on my shallow soapbox.
You just had a "warm fuzzy", that overwelming satisfaction, to have your 43-foot putt end up 8" from the hole, it's the same "Warm Fuzzy" that I get when I have this wedge in hand.
Depending on the cover of the ball your using, your ball will check with a noticable reaction. I did have to invest time around the practice greens in order to adjust to the characteristics of this wedge.
The learning curve was a whole lot shorter than I expected, and even with my poor techinque, this wedge just made me look good. Acceptable tight groupings, consistant distance and no unexpected hot shots off the face that ran away.
If you try to get too cutesy in your technique, your going to know it...not even this wedge will reward me in a crappy attempt to B.S. the ball.
I have found that the weight of the Mizuno wedges are fairly light (anything compared to my old 60* Clev tank is light) and so, the adjustment in the physical memory had to be adjusted and that was a learning curve that I had to deal with.
The face is soft, it is made from 1025 carbon steel, and you will need to love your equipment esp. these wedges if you want them to last.
If you are the type "A" golfer, who doesn't care to clean the face off each shot, your going to short live the life of this instrument in a heart attack hurry.
If your the type "B" golfer, and expect your stuff to stay new as the first day you got them, and scratches are reacted as if it was your car, your not going to enjoy these at all.
The type "C" knows that these are ment to wear out, but we do not hurry the process.
In the hands of the right operator, these are a deadly weapon.
Thanks for hanging out,
JHSchwarzkopf
