Prepare Yourself to Put Some One on One Time w/ These

This set will either raise your level of game (quality time investment required) or humble yourself back to the forgiveness set.
If your intentions is to "try it to see what it is like" save your investment & the heartache...this set may not be intended for the happy go lucky casual player such as myself, however...since, life is too short and I'm turning 50 in a week from now, I've decided to elevate my game and my live the golf life to the fullest.
In search of my 3rd Mizuno set, I went down the line of models from one end to the other. I found myself looking at the MP67s due to the feel at impact that told me that I found the wet spot on a well struck shot. No other model gave me such a euphoria than this model. Sure, the others gave a similar soft impact feel that you would expect from the Mizuno line, however, when the rubber meets the road, you know that my intentions is not to go with buddies and get stupid drunk and have a good Ol' time at the local course...
The feedback & opinions on various sites did guide me to take a serious look at the MP67s. Now looking back at some of the comments I can say the following...you do not need to be a single digit player to enjoy these...a bogey player from the blues will fit into this set in my opinion with a little bit of effort to get through the learning curve.
The sweet spot is not limited to a size of a dime...Considering the size of the MP67 face, there is latitude of forgiveness should your impact be inside or outside of dead center. I assure you dear reader, when the ball jumps off the face of the club & the whole world of golf is right at that moment, know that you have just swung to the best of your ability, and that is a wonderful feeling from a golf gear that rewards you for doing so. Such as it is with this model.
One fear that I had, and in a way I still do...is the wear factor. I see sets of Mp67s up for auction in my search and notice the advance stages of worn down to the bare metal...If there was one factor that caused me to ponder of such an investment it is that...I realize that if you take care of your gear after every shot, you are protecting your investment. If spend hours at the range hitting dirty range balls, well, that will kill any set in a hurry.
My shaft is the DG300R and yes, it has a high kick point but, the flight is a medium trajectory with a SS of 65~68mph. I am an easy swinger slower than average tempo and try to be silky smooth in effort.
This set did not come with Sensi-core...at first, I thought that I was asking for pain and suffering going down this avenue, however, let me set you at ease...this will not cause you shock even on mishits.
The PW is a 48* loft and is a joy in chipping around the greens.
I am very pleased with performance of this set. I may not have too many years left in the golf arena, but, at least I can say that when I did...I played with one of the finest irons made by the hands of man.
If you have pondered seriously to take that step forward in your game, do so with the gear that is made for such a task.
