Possibly the best iron on the market currently. Mizunos are known for their great feel and feedback, used by good players to identify and correct mistakes, and for the workability of the club, the abilty to shape the shot. In the past, the blades were perhaps a little unforgiving for the average player, but the MP60 is a great combination of forgiveness with the traditional Mizuno attributes. I would recommend professional fitting for any player, and it should also be noted the standard Mizuno lie is a little flatter than some other premium makes, so do not be surprised if the fitted specs look different from other sets.

The clubs are very accurate and solid, they go exactly where you aim them. A really good looking set of irons. I am a 7 handicap from Baton Rouge Louisiana, and a course marshal at Webb Memorial. I was a 12 handicap prior to purchasing these. The MP 60's give you a confident feeling at address, they set up nice and square. The cavity back adds forgiveness, more than you would expect from a club that looks like a blade. I always get good comments on the performance of these clubs. I think they are surely for the low 80's and better players. These clubs are grain flow forged, they don't scuff up like the softer cast iron clubs. They are built to last a really long time. Several pros are currently using these. I bought mine here on ebay for $600.00 ~Randall

I purchased the Mizuno Mp 60 irons with Project X shafts. I have played the Mizuno MP 14,29,37,30,33's and most recently the MP 32's. I still have the 32's and play them occasionally. The MP60's are the best Mizuno I have played to date. They are a combination of forgiveness and feel and the Project X shaft is fantastic. My playing partner, who has played Titleist for the past ten years, tried my irons and went right out and purchased a set. Believe me he is a hard sell for anything. Enough said!!

I'm about a 3-5 hcp and wanted a blade type iron (thin top line, little offset, thinner sole) but with some forgiveness. From the first round, these MP60s felt as though they hand been in my bag for years. Love 'em. I am able to curve shots when necessary, hit fairly high or low. Great feel! Distance seems to be a little longer than the S59's I replaced. Seem to be very accurate and I've been able to hit some of the best punch shots ever. Don't know why I waited so long to try Mizunos, but I really like these.

The best clubs I have ever played. Buttery feeling of forged irons with the forgiveness of back muscle overzise irons.Highly recomended for mid handicap to advanced players. as good or better than mp57's at half the cost.

Fake Club they sold to me

Dear all,

When I received this MP60 from estrella_golf, I found something different features with my friend's original MP60. Logo size, serial number, weight, shaft length and the color of the club. Today I contact to Mizuno USA and checked the serial number, they said my club is fake,, there is no serial number. So It must be a fake club,,,Mizuno USA said to me.

If your guys know the way how to return my money back from this bad company, please let me know how to.

I hit these clubs in the simulator many times, I then hit them out on the driving range, demo day. They hit true every time. When they are hit in the large sweet spot it feels like a practice swing can't even tell the hit something. These Mizuno irons have a little more club head weight then my older clubs which takes a little of getting used to. I would buy them again.

Great feel, great flight, great look. What else do you need?
I hit a lot of clubs and finaly narrowed it down to the MP 60. For the price, this is an unbelievable club. I picked up these very lightly used for $218 shipped. I'm having the loft and lie set up for me, but even hitting them prior to setup they felt great.
I would reccomend these for mid to low handicaps, looking or something workable and true to your swing. High handicappers may find them a bit less forgiving.
I love you Ebay.

  Prefer MP 30, MP32

These are nice irons, but a go a little higher than I like. In my opinion, the MP 30 is a better option if you are looking for a player's cavity iron. Bottom line, you can't go wrong with Mizuno irons, but if you like to flight it low, these probably are not for you. The MP 60 is a touch more forgiving, higher ball flight leads to about 1/2 club less than the MP 30/32

  Another Mizuno Gem

I am a 5 handicap and with that being said, these are not for mid to high handicap players. Yes, they are 4% larger with a 10% bigger sweet spot than their big brother MP32 and they are a bit more forgiving. They ARE a forged blade and you will get the tremendous feedback from a forged club. They will reward you with a great shot, they are accurate as heck and depending on the shaft option they are indeed a pin=seeking, take dead aim weapon in your hands.

Mizuno is without a doubt, the best forged club maker on the planet and these are another stroke of genius by them. Get them, love them and take care of them because these will be in your bag for a very long time!

Hit em long & straight!!

Mizuno MP 60 Irons - the ultimate player's club
Review created: 06/07/07

I bought the MP 60 irons based on having hit them at the driving range during a Mizuno "Demo Days". I was a previous Mizuno iron user (T-Zoid) and knew of their reputation as being the premier producer of forged irons. I had compared the Mizuno MP 60's to another model in the Mizuno family as well as to two other forged irons (Taylor Made and Titleist). I also compared the golf shafts, and what sold me on this set was the fact they came with the shaft (Dynamic Gold SL) I wanted. The set was not to my specifications (loft, lie angle and length) but this required minor adjustments at a local golf repair shop. One nice advantage of having a "true" forging is the ability to move the loft and lie angles several degrees without compromising the playability of the club.

The Mizuno MP 60's are not all that forgiving despite the cavity back design. Hit them well and the club feels as smooth as a hot knife through butter. Mishit them and you'll get what you deserve. The Dynamic Gold SL shafts are taking some getting used to. I know in the long run these clubs will be a perfect set for maintaining and hopefully improving my game. The look of these clubs at address is fantastic. No ugly offset; just a clean look from top to bottom. For me they instill confidence that I will hit a good shot. I am one of those golfers who has to visually enjoy the club I am hitting.

For now the only negative thing I can say about these irons is getting used to the feel of the lighter shaft. This will be overcome as I make the necessary adjustments to the weight and not over-swinging the club. I highly recommend those golfers who enjoy a clean looking, no-nonsense iron to consider the Mizuno MP 60.

There is nothing like puring a 5 iron with these babies! Easier to hit then you might think considering forged irons are usually harder to hit. I used to play TaylorMade but will now play Mizuno for life!

Second time around with MP60s. Got a great deal so I jumped on them! Bought a set of MP-57 for extra forgiveness. Didn't like the offset. MP60 looks like a blade but some forgiveness. You have to put a good swing on them! I like the look when in playing position. 3 and 4 irons can be hard to hit. I enjoy them.

love the irons, ebay is the only place you don't have to spend a thousand dollars to get custom fit clubs. same irons through my local pro shop would have been 1100 bucks with the extra inch and lie angle tweak. spend a grand for new or 325 for almost new? hmmm. thanks ebay.

I am a seven handicap and working at getting it lower like everyone else out there. I decided to purchase my new set of irons by custom fitting rather than just off the rack. After a shaftlab analysis as well as a fitting session with a PGA professional, I decided to purchase the Mizuno MP 60 forged irons based entirely on recommendation. My iron specs are 2 degrees flat and 1/2 inch short, so I really didn't think hitting a standard lie demo iron would give me any indication of its performance. I have to say that I am thorougly satisfied with the results. The MP 60 is considered a "player's club" because it allows you to work the ball much like forged blades. But at the same time, offers some degree of forgiveness on toe or heel shots. I have noticed about a 10% to 15% loss of distance on off center shots which still leaves you in good shape to recover. Solid shots provide very consistent distances for me. THAT is, in my opinion, the greatest asset of these clubs. I have found in the past that my "game improvement irons" would surprise me with some added distance I wasn't expecting and put me over the green with what I thought was a great shot. I would recommend these irons to any player with above average skills. If you're playing bogie golf or worse, don't kid yourself that these clubs will improve your game. You are probably better off with true game improvement irons that have a deeper cavity back. Come back to these when your skill level improves. For those players with skillz, leave your ego on the range and skip the true-blades and give these a try. Here's an interesting stat for you, only 20% of the best players in the world use true blades. If a majority of the best players in the world choose to use non-blade irons, why would you think that blades could possibly be an asset for your game? You aren't going to regret buying these clubs, you're going to get the feel and feedback of blades but with moderate forgiveness like cavity backs.

Love the clubs!! Took a few rounds to get used to, do to them being more like blades rather than clubs with forgiveness, which I was used to. My only complaint is that their is some rattleing inside of the shaft that can be annoying in my back swing.

  Muzuno MP 60's are great

I decided to buy Muzunos based on their tests in magazines. They perform just as the tests said. Great feel with a little extra weight to make the club more predicable. They seem forgiving and are to a degree, but perform like blades for me as a 7 handicap. I like the ball flight and consistency of shots. They make hitting golf balls fun.

These irons are sick! Great feel and workability. You've got to be a good ball-striker to get the full benefits, but hit off-center won't kill you either. Probably added 5 yards to all my irons, though that could be in the shafts (steel fiber).

BUYING NEW GOLF CLUBS IS LIKE BUYING A NEW CAR. DRIVE IT ONCE AND IT'S USED. SO WHY NOT BUY USED, TRY THEM IF YOU WANT TO TRY SOME OTHERS YOU BUY AND SELL UNTIL YOU FIND THE ONES YOU WANT TO KEEP. I BOUGHT AND SOLD 4 SETS OF CLUBS THROUGH EBAY IN THE LAST 2 MONTHS AS WELL AS PUTTERS, DRIVERS, HYBRIDS. I THINK I'M SET FOR NOW. IT WOULD BE HARD TO PART WITH THE SET I'VE PUT TOGETHER.

Mizuno makes the best irons in golf. These are a very smooth players set of irons. They are a cavity muscle back but these irons need to be struck aggressively and under control. These irons will give you feedback on what your mechanics are doing for that day. Awesome set and reccommended.

These clubs really are beautiful to the eye and are easy to play. I like the thin top line as you are at address to the ball instead of the bulky look that many of the iron sets have today.
