The show took place in two worlds, that of Mr. Rogers' home and the local businesses and institutions around it, and in the "Land of Make Believe," a place populated by tiny puppets that Mr. Rogers travels to daily. By visiting neighborhood locales and the Land of Make Believe, Mr. Rogers teaches kids both practical and moral lessons. In GOING TO SCHOOL, Mr. Rogers introduces children to the bus driver, who shows him her bus and how to ride it. Meanwhile, in the Land of Make Believe, the children are preparing for their first day of school.
