I love Shel Silverstein's books. He was a genius who captured life's experiences in what appear, at first glance, to be simple children's stories.
The Missing Piece meets the big O is a story about a "missing piece" from a circle. The missing piece wants a circle so it can roll. It spends it's time trying to find the circle it belongs to. It tries to make itself more attractive but has a hard time finding the perfect fit. Finally the piece meets a complete circle who does not need a piece to complete it. The circle encourages the piece to roll on it's own.
This simple story has many laughs but teaches a valuable lesson to our children.
