Miss Julia Stands Her Ground by Ann B. Ross (2006, Hardcover)

It is a good book in a really good series of books. It's nice to have a herione who is older and sassy inspite of her age. Miss Julia is someone I'd like to have as a neighbor. The book was easy reading and very enjoyable. I decided to but this book because I wanted to find out what Sam and Miss Julia were up to next.

Ann B. Ross just knows the South, and she knows how to capture its characters (and, boy, sometimes we ARE characters down here!). I read expressions in here I haven't heard since those old Southern ladies used them in my youth, and it's refreshing! It takes me back! Thanks, Ann for capturing the REAL South!
Highly recommended! We have all the Miss Julias now, and "They Lord" we are enjoying them! We can't wait for her to write more! Keep 'em coming, Ann! We're buying copies for our Daughters and their husbands to enjoy, too!

Ann B Ross is a wonderful girl even though I don't know her personally. Just the way she puts her words on the paper I know that she is. The condition of book was great.

All the Miss Julia books are fun, and this is no exception. As usual, much of the trouble exists in Miss Julia's mind, and her family is the center of her worries. How she handles things is always ingenious.

The Miss Julia series just gets better and better. I love the older heroine and the trials she goes through. She is one gutsy gal that is so easy to love, I have read just about all of Ann B. Ross' books and have enjoyed everyone of them. A great series for older ladies that still like fiction but without the trash!! That includes me!
