Freaking KITT? You gotta be kidding me!
Yes! It's a gimmick product. Yes, It's about $20 dollars more than a regular Mio GPS. Yes, the novelty wears off... eventually.

BUT! IT'S FREAKING KITT!

Look. You buys items like these because of of it's nostalgic value. Now that we're adults and have (hopefully) more disposable income than when we were 12, when the show originally aired we can afford to purchase crap like this.

The bare facts are, it's a decent entry level GPS. Easy to use, concise and fast solid product. The fact that it comes in Knight Rider black with LEDs that sync to the ORIGINAL voice actor for KITT is just icing.

Go. Get yourselves one. Right now.

I'm hoping that enough people purchase these that a patch will be made to get "KITT" to say some witty sarcastic comment whenever you miss a turn.

Design is sweet. Voice is perfect. It would be better if my name was in the system. I corrects direction very fast.

I really like it works great I like how you can set for restaurants,gas stations,etc. And its fun to impress people. Only draw back I wish it had blue tooth. So I can have my phone hooked up to it.

It look great & works better. It has little lag in travel. The mph is off by 3mph under. But every one i have used does this. The kit voice is great. All around this is a good gps 4 $200 shipped.

CONS:
IT'S A FEW YEARS OLD, AND DOESN'T HAVE ALL THE BELLS AND WHISTLES, BUT IT BLOWS EVERYONE AWAY WITH COOL FACTOR.
WISH THEY WOULD HAVE PROGRAMED NONSENSE PHRASES FROM THE SHOW, AND WOULD USE THEM IN A MINDLESS BANTER TYPE OF DISCUSSION.
THE KITT LIGHTS ARE VERY COOL, BUT THEY ONLY FLASH FOR AN INSTANT WHEN YOU TURN IT ON. IT WOULD HAVE BEEN FUNNY TO HAVE THEM FLASH EVERYTIME KITT TALKS.

I purchaced the Night Rider gps for a Christmas present and love it! This was the first unit of this type that I have ever used so there was some level of difficulty setting up the device. However, now that it is up and running we have a new sense of confidence traveling and the personal touch of being addressed by name is lots of fun. I highly recomend the Night Rider unit for local and cross country travel-you'll never be lost again! MF Foster

I first saw this product on a TV game show and it looked like a cool type of GPS system...and that's it! After loading the disk to program my GPS, I lost the voices except for the now annoying 'where do you want to go, micheal?' and now i can't even get it to charge right!!! reinstalling the software did no good. when it did work, directions were given ok, but not with voice as it should have. maybe i just got a bad unit or maybe it is a waste of money!!!

I recently purchased this MIO Navman Knight Rider GPS and it's a nightmare. I've contacted Navman AND Mio, they deny ANY responsibility for fixing it. Don't believe me?, call em'. Buyer BEWARE. NO WARRANTY...(you'need it)

I am glad to see that somwone has finaly done this. I do with that kitt said more. Or had the opt of sugesting stops for you or reminding you of gas when you pas a gas station. The only time it says my name is when you turn it on. I thought it would say my name before everything it said. Past the turn on activation it is just like any other GPS. I allso wish there was a speaker jack so I could run the sound to an outside source. It has only one button. The power.

I decided to buy this product because of the price, although I was hesitant because I had never purchased anything on ebay. Overall the experience and the product turned out very well. I use the GPS everyday!
