A Million Little Pieces by James Frey (2005, Paperback)

I purchased the book after seeing that Oprah had highly recommended it on her show. The book was very well written and seemed to be very believable! Once you began to read the book, you were hooked, turning the page to find out what happened next. After finishing this book, it came out that James Frey lied or "embellished" parts of this book. I have to admit, I was rather "hacked-off" knowing that this was not a true and accurate memoir. Even though James Frey went on national television to try to "save face," I felt deceived and then began to question which parts of the book were real and which parts he had embellished. The easiest decision was to decide to never purchase any other books written by James Frey (which is really kind of sad because this book was very well written, but once a liar, always a liar.)
