Millennium Bug
As a former VW Mechanic, Service writer, Service Mgr and now owner, at 67yrs of age, of a 66 Bug and a 74 Transporter I was enamored by the first VW bug I worked on at 18 yrs of age. First day in the shop, man what an ugly car, but next day tried to get parents to buy one! When I read Small wonder and realized that I was working in the era of Peter Cook and VW of America I wanted to know all I could about the origin of the VW. Being an avid history buff, from biographical standpoint, seeing the pictures of the development of the auto in Germany was astounding. What Dr. Porsche did and was doing was years ahead of anyone in the world, an electric car having the electric motors IN THE WHEEL to save torque, amazing! So this book puts more of the story together; you gotta have it if you love VW's! Bool was in excellent condition!
