Why Writers Writer
If you are a writer then this is a book that should be on your to read list. Just a forewarning if a lot of technical talk gets your brain mushy then you might want to pass. I do think the book has a nice balance between technical stuff and the author's own struggles. What is nice about this book, is she talks about creativety on several different levels such as neurology and what goes on the in the brain and physcology also what goes on the on in the brain but you can't physically see that with CAT scans and such.
There is examples of well known literary types and the disorders they are believed to have and even examples of contemporary people who are sane but had an issue like Stephen King. I bought this book because I watched a PBS special on doctor's and depression and one segment was about her and her book. I felt connected to her because I am also driven to write and I wanted to know why.
