Microsoft Zune Red (30 GB) MP3 Player

I have had my 30gb Zune for a little over a year now. I LOVE IT. I like it so much that I purchased one for my 16 year old daughter who is always stealing mine to listen to.

I never had any problems with software, synching or some of the other problems people complain about. I often wonder if it's the person operating the computer. I have my Zune software on 3 different computers and have had no issues what so ever. People also complain about losing album art. That is as easy as right clicking a couple of times and you will have it right back on there. I only had issues with that when I bought a new computer and when I moved all my files some were missing. And I also find that the Zune site has always answered every question I have with just a couple of clicks.

The screen on the player is great. Color is good. Pictures on movies are also very good. I purchased Cucusoft converter software off ebay and I have converted about 6 of my DVD movies and they have all turned out good. I also purchased a couple of movies online and the quality on those seen very good also.

Sound quality on the 30gb is very, very good. I have had other players and none of them compared to the Zune. I didn't care for the headphones so I bought my own. They all seem like they are to large and hard to fit anyone with any comfort.

The wireless thing is awesome on the Zunes. You can shop for music in any wireless hotspot. You can also tag songs off the radio to buy later. Very nice feature that don't believe the ipods have. I don't think they have it yet except on the Touch. And who wants to pay for that? Too high of a price tag for storage.

If I ever have to replace my Zune I will be replacing it with another! Sad to say but I am already browsing ebay to maybe buy another one. I would not be afraid to buy another one.

i bought this zune about three weeks ago and i luv it i dont go nowhere with out it i use it everyday the only con right now i can say is when putting videos on it it took me like 4 days but i put about 100 videos on it so great buy .....

I purchased this for my wife for Mother's Day and it's been excellent. The interface and software are more user friendly for the Window's User that iTunes. My wife traded up the iPod for the Zune and hasn't even considered going back. The only flaw/drawback that I hope they eventually fix is the lack of a clock... I mean, c'mon, it's a clock! It'd be really helpful! All in all, I'm overly pleased with the device!

The Zune as an MP3 player has some great features. The sound quality is nice and the screen is detailed when watching movies or displaying album artwork. I do like the interface and the preview picture that is provided when scrolling through music (I think ipod caught on with their newest version). The software to put on your computer to organize the music is another story. Several updates and restarts were required before the program would load, and even then it took several attempts to sync up the music stored on my pc to the Zune. I thought that a Microsoft MP3 player would be easier to set up on a pc. The ipod and itunes that I have downloaded and set up in minutes. So, once you get it working, the Zune is a wonderful product with FM radio wireless capabilities and is less picky about what you can put onto the Zune, unlike the ipod. I would recommend this product but suggest you go to the store and try out the ipod and zune side by side and decide what works best for you.

I bought this item for my husband as a gift. I absolutely love it..from the quality of the videos to the quality of sound. I'm definitely going to get one for myself. My husband has soooo many songs from many different albums and he hasn't used not even 1/4 of the space. Truly awesome product. Did I mention I love this product :)...

the unit came with music on it and videos. the zune is a great mp3/mp4 player. bought because the description sounded like something I could fix, which i did.

I love it. Pro's - just about everything. con's - it transfer's everything from my computer. I need to learn to organize my files and my zune.

Great player, this makes the third one in my family and we all love them. I love the screen size and quality of the picture. Sound quality is awsome. The only thing I don't like is when you connect to your cumputer, and log onto Zune's homepage, they track your usage. I don't feel thats any buddies busy except mine. Microsoft you should be ashamed.

I decided to buy this item because it is something other than the IPod.
It is easy to use and the gadget is great. However, the software for using the Zune controls the whole list of mp3's in my computer and its default program to open all mp3's are the Zune software and not the windows media player. Other than that, everything goes well from synching to playback on the Zune.
Worth a try if you do not have a Zune yet. No major complaints. Good stuff for something 'made in China' as this Zune does, which I came to know later after purchasing the Zune. No further comments and do enjoy listening to music in the Zune. The earbuds produce a high quality sound and not cheap, if you know what I mean. Peace out.....

it is like new i got everything but the headphones but that's ok it was the best looking red zune for sale

love this product, easy to use, great functionality, and fun!! i decided to buy this product after researching mp3 players, and using a few of my friends as well to help. of all, i found the zune to work best with my computer(i didn't have to install any extra pay-per-use software) and it automatically downloads music from my pc to my zune either through usb or wireless.

I would die without my Zune! I take it everywhere I go because you never know. I like it a lot better compared to the iPod mainly because it's easier to navigate. The biggest plus for me in that aspect is when you are trying to locat a certain song, album, etc., with the iPod you have to keep going in around the circle with your finger. With zune you just hold down. Im not really familiar with iTunes prices and such. However with Zune Social you pay $14.99 a month and can download almost anything you want. Some of the brand new releases you have to purchase. Also, you can download and keep 10 songs a month (meaning you get the usage rights for free and can burn to discs or whatever you want)Bottom line, I'm a huge fan and the majority of my iPod owning friends have switched after playing with mine in my car.

I had brought a Zune MP3 player before (120GB) and its great. Battery life can go about 2 to 3 days. I purchased another one for a gift to my supervisor and she loves it. You can also listen to the radio, watch videos and other neat things packing into this MP3. Definitely worth the purchase.

i like it its portable entertainment that kinda cheap now when im at work for 20 hours i can watch part of a movie on my lunch break and listen to music while working

I liked this WHITE Zune because it only took 10 minutes to fix. I guess you could say they are easy to repair as they are to use. The leap yr calender screwed up the internal clock which caused the Zune to lock up or not take the new upgrade of the Firmware. Half way loaded the firmware would freeze up the Zune. Then you had to disconnect the battery for 10 sec to reset the internal clock to restart the Zune. After that the Zune worked OK. This repair worked 75% of the time. SEE THE NEW ISSUE OF ZUNE FORUM. I have a first gen Zune (black) that my wife bought me when they first came out. I have been an avid Zune supporter since. The red one I just purchased is a gift for my wife as she has been monopolizing mine for the past month. As a mp3 player, the Zune is on par or above the iPod in functionality. The movie player is superior to the iPod as the Zune has a larger screen and displays the video as a landscape to maximize every centimeter. The software and firmware upgrades provided for the first gen Zune allow early adopters to have all functions and abilities that the new generation Zune user enjoy. If upgrades continue apace then all Zune users can expect to enjoy their Zune (of any generation) for many years to come.
