tHe CASING IS NOT red evil limited edition. It has been spray painted red and not
even all the way at that. you can smell the paint. I would like a refund pronto just like the purchase was. Thank you I will be waiting for my refund and quick response. That is bad business. This is not what you advertised.

Well I can't really rate the system due to a fraudulent seller I never recieved my xbox do not but from snakebite_1985 I had to file a claim on paypal and I did get my money back and I will buy through a better seller this time around just remember to not but from snakebite_1985

I gotta say yes the red is truly for bragging rights. The elites (black) origionaly came out at the same price as the Resident evil limited edition(red) console currently goes for. I love the red look and if u dont like it... get a slip cover or a skin. Yeah this does sound odd but, it will be more then worth the trouble verses the black elites, white premium, or classic arcade. I work at a eBay Powerseller/liquidator. I see pallets of used/refurbished xboxs daily. what color shells do i see us tossing away today when they come back from the refurbisher? tons of white, lots of black, and one green (halo limited edition). simply put the cooling issue(red ring of death)was a major glitch in the 360 design and build. the resident evil sports the new jasper chip which doesn't elimiate the problem compleatly but it does drasticaly cut down the number of affected systems. So if u have your heart set on a 360 do yourself a favor drop a few extra bucks and pick up this system. You will most likely end up saving $40 (the average cost of refurbishing your xbox)and they have a chance of the red ring of death happening again.

For Xbox 360 veterans, this review will not be of much help. After all, this is just an Xbox 360 Elite but a different color. However, I will attempt to give this review the depth it deserves.

For starters, this Xbox 360 is red. That doesn't do anything to improve functionality, but it helps you gloat when the rest of your friends only have the plain, white versions. The color is strictly bragging rights.

Next, the system itself. The Xbox 360 Red is a limited edition which includes the basic gaming equipment (red controller, headset, connector cables, etc.) but also comes with the survival-horror game Resident Evil 5. (It's more survival than horror, but that's splitting hairs.) This little gift makes it that much sweeter because you don't have to pay the $60 list price for the game. Plus, the system comes in a special edition RE5 box featuring game mainstay Chris Redfield and newcomer Sheva Alomar. Sure it's just a box, but it's a special edition box so there.

As for the system functionality, it functions just fine. The early glitches from the original Xbox 360's are gone, leaving players with 120GB (give or take) of save space for all the games you plan on playing.

So if you want a reliable system and are a fan of the Resident Evil series, then this may be the system for you. If you're not a fan or don't like the color red, then I'd suggest going in another direction...maybe black?

One of the newest boards to come out, the jasper doesn't disappoint! With the lite-on (99% of these new jaspers will come with a lite-on unless it was swapped), it runs pretty quiet compared to the previous versions of the xbox. Interestingly enough, it seems like the bug has finally caught up to Microsoft who thought that building this console with cheap parts and low ingenuity would save money. To those of you wanting an xbox 360 Bottom line, GET A JASPER. NOT A FALCON, NOT A Xenon, NOT A Zephyr (<= those arent in order as you can tell but you get the point). Until the Valhalla comes out, Id say that the jasper is what you should stick with for the time being.

I can not tell you what i like or dislike about the game system because i never received the item.Paid immediately after sale and checked the status 3 hours later and the seller was no longer a registered user.Thank God for Paypal who refunded the full amount.Unfortunately my kids never got to open their xbox on Christmas day.

Overall the experience was great. The shipping was immediate and got here without any problems with fedex. There's a few buffs on the console, but that's to be expected with refurbished. Starts perfectly and works great. The original controller that arrived with it had a few problems, but I contacted the seller and they sent out a replacement without any questions asked, which was wonderful. For now I'm using a wired controller. The games with it were in a great condition and work perfect. No other problems as of right now, but I am clear that if anything arises that they will provide excellent service has they have already proven to do. Thank you.

The red edition is like no other I have always loved the great game Resident Evil and when this console came out I had to have it!!! I have not got to play the game as much as I would like to but have never been disappointed with the series.

I love this red Resident Evil 5 Edition Xbox 360 Elite. It looks great, runs so much quieter and smoother than the old elite I had, and is well worth the money. I would recommend this Xbox 360 over any other Xbox 360 made. =]

The user sent the xbox 360 in a timely maner. The xbox 360 was in great condition brand new in the box. I would buy from this person again.

This person scammed several buyers, myself included! If this person does not get there account taken away then noone should ever buy from this person!

I sent payment promptly, transaction was cancelled that same day. later found out that this seller did same thing to other buyers with same item.

Package never arrived for me to even determine the quality, enjoyment value, or even the issues with the product.

When researched, goggled it is truly a Elite console.

This is not what we received, yes it was Custom painted red Xbox 360,the only Elite in this bundle was the 120gb hard drive, Seller kindly conveyed in email, and says he purchase and resell them and has no idea of product history.
Paper stickers on console does not look genuine Microsoft, my opinion.

All Elites come with HDMI out, The DVD Drive is a Hitachi,LG Manufacture date August 2005. The console sticker date is 2008-09-26, this is a white console painted red. So you see why a review of this product is not applicable.
There where other issues I will not mention, but it had the RROD fix done to it 5 days later. Our 3 day warranty was up, and a friend opened it up and fixed it, and this is when we found out all of this, and Custom Red was not an Elite FAA-00019 console after all, as described in sale of this gaming system.

I am only writing this to warn others to please pay attention to detail, and read & read everything carefully the Sellers has posted and please, ASK QUESTIONS ON every PRODUCT or ITEM.
Then make sure it is truly the product posted.
I passed 100% on the security eBay buyer's test given, and still got caught off guard, I have much to learn, and hopefully not as costly as this purchase.
This was a hard lesson learned, as a newbie on eBay.
The seller was prompt and seemed genuine and considerate with feedback and email, and his 3 day return policy, this is not the problem.

It is how he posted his Description and sale of this Item.
This is the end of my review, on a lesson learned.
May this help a little, in trying to prevent another misunderstood purchase or sale within our eBay family community.

The X-Box was set at a good price, then the seller reduced it to a great price with the “Buy it now” option. So I did. The seller shipped it promptly with a tracking number. Very happy with the transaction.
