Xbox 360 VGA basics

This catalog is now getting flooded with fake cables. Most cables not licensed by Microsoft are not properly shielded and on some monitors, can result in terrible image quality. For most monitors, you'll get slight blurring and maybe a vertical line that resembles eye floaters.
As for the real cable itself, this is one of those things that should've came with the 360 in the first place. Most TV's that have YPbPr (component) inputs also have VGA inputs, which provide better quality. However, still not everyone has an HDTV yet, or some prefer the computer monitor for better color quality, or so they can use headphones and not distract anyone else in the house. (plus they may not want to spend $70 on a wireless adapter if the TV is accross the house, so the Xbox stays close to the router and internet source) Not to mention, standard definition provides mediocre quality at best and unacceptable quality for many games that demand being able to see into the distance. (such as first person shooters, and the problem gets worse on split screen) Playing in HD is much more than just having everything look pretty, it is a part of the game itself.
The cable is a must have for anyone who cares at all about their games and would like a convinient, but decent setup. I have 2 monitors at my computer, one for the Xbox. The Xbox's sound goes into the computer, where it can be mixed with anything (such as music) and where volume can be adjusted if I'm using headphones. It's connected with an ethernet cable right by the computer itself.
HDMI is the only other option for connecting to a computer monitor. (using an HDMI to DVI cable) You can find such cables high quality yet cheap elsewhere (monoprice), but you'll have to make some adjustments to another cable for audio. The real problem here is that many older Xbox's do not have HDMI ports.
