Microsoft HD DVD for Xbox 360

They're dirt cheap and there are some sweet titles available. If you already have an HD TV and an Xbox360 and just want to see some HD movies at home without having to spend the money on bluray equipment go this route.

What a shame that Blu Ray won the HD DVD war because the HD DVD Player is a far superior product. I have watched many Blu Ray movies on a PS3 and Blu Ray player and the cinematography looks very fake. The HD DVD movies I've seen so far are the best I've every seen. Boo to Sony for buying of Blockbuster and the Movie Studios in order to end this formatting war. If Sony hadn't have done that they probably would have lost in the long run like they did with Beta.

This is a great add on for the XBox 360. I am really sad to see that HD DVD's did not take off as well as the BluRay Disks did but the good new is, it really brings the Price down fo this high end player. Set up is extremely easy and once installed so is running it. veryone should get this acssesory for their xbox. It is a defnate Must Have.

If you want to play HD DVD disks on you fast box, this is a great cheap option. I bought mine used for $26.00 shipping included.

I have had my HD DVD for Xbox 360 for about 2 weeks. I plugged it in and connected the supplied mini USB cable to my computer with Windows 7 and inseerted "King Kong" (the disk that came with the player). The OS recogonized the player, installed the drivers and stated playing the disk. I have read that VISTA will also recognize the player. It will also play conventional DVDs. My disks play at 1080p with no problems. Extras and menus work fine as well.

I like the quality. I decided to buy it because of the great price to have HD quality films in my house. If you want to be on the cutting edge you should choose Blu-Ray but if you want HD quality for a fraction of the price you can grab this. Their is a small library of HD DVD's but there are some good ones.

This works fine on a PC, no drivers needed. However, using it to watch movies on your PC can be a challenge without the proper software. Some/all versions of PowerDVD 7 support HD-DVD's, and it works pretty well.

This is also a handy drive to have if you have picked up one of the smaller laptops/netbooks that don't have a CD/DVD built in.

I liked the dvd player wish it had a remote but everthing else was good. Was missing software but I was able download.

i have both hd and blu ray. i like both, and both have their advantages. hd gives great picture, while blu ray gives great sound. if microsoft had put an hd drive in the xbox 360 and used that format for games they probibly would have won the HD war.

The seller sent exactly what was in the description. The DVD player was a very good one and I like that fact that I can still get the movies very cheap and was able to hook up to my tv.
