Microsoft Flight Simulator X: Acceleration (PC Games, 2007)

This game adds more of a fun element to Microsoft Flight Simulator X. I Love the Aircraft Carrier missions. The Red Bull courses are kindof hard, but it is more fun being able to do them multi player. Overall it is a great game, and worth the cheaper price tag.

It adds a lot of stuff to FSX. Carrier launches with catapult, military missions, rescue mission etc, the graphics look like real life, not CGI, only downside is you need an upgraded video car and lots of RAM.

Item exactly as a description, looks new, good price, fast shipping, we don't want more.

This expansion pack is a lot of fun! If you like cool jets and being able to land on a carrier you will love this add on!

I like everything about this expansion, it really adds a lot to FSX. You get new airplanes and numerous new missions, this expansion is awesome.

Flight Simulator acceleration is good only if your computer can handle it.Do your research on your computers capabilities and the programs requirements. I was looking forward to adding this title on to my computer. Microsoft Flight Simulator X was working well with my computer score 3.5 and I enjoy it very much . I did not do enough research on the acceleration pack though because it was rated higher than my computer. I have a lowest score of 3.5 on my graphics and game card and 4.0 and 4.5 everywhere else and Microsoft Flight Simulator acceleration requires a 4.0 on your gaming and graphics card. I would recommend it if your computer can handle it. IF not, you will have to be happy with just Microsoft Flight Simulator X for now just like I have to for now.

This addon is worth the money spent to get all of the added content. The F/A-18 is a remarkable jet fighter and it has amazing simulation controls. I purchased Flight Deck 5 for the naval aviation feature and that was a waste of money compared to this plane. The SP2 feature made the game feel smoother and definately improved online play through Gamespy. A very affordable and well-made addon for FSX.

This game is a lot of fun, especially for my 15 yr old son who wants to be a pilot. I fly, have taught him a lot and the game solidifies what I want him to learn and have told him. Highly Recommended!

If you own FSX, then obviously you would enjoy adding this Acceleration edition to your collection. It is a very good add-on with many challenging missions that are included. It would have been better if Microsoft would have included a few more additional aircrafts besides the three that are included in this Accelaration edition. I have no complaints though, it's quite challenging and fun as always. You won't regret buying it. Go for it!

With new missions and new planes, this is a great add-on. Being a military jet enthusiast, the carrier missions are a great change of pace to flying or racing.

Not only does the FSX Acceleration add-on contains three new aircraft, along with several new missions, it also installs (SP1) Service Pack 1. (SP1) was designed to address some of the flaws and slow frame-rate within FSX. The addon contains a single DVD disc and the installation is easy and takes about 15 minutes to load.

I really like the new aircraft. However, the F-18 and the EH-101 helicopter don't contain 2D cockpits. However, both of course have the smaller VFR and 3D panels. I haven't flown all of the new missions, but they appear to be very exciting. Also, they added the Reno Race missions, for the P-51, if your into racing aircraft, and carrier landings and catapults with the F-18.

Overall it's a great add-on for what you get. The Service Pack, the 3 new planes, and of course the added missions, makes it a economical buy.

There we some problems during the installation due to a flawed installation of the Flight Smiluator X. I had to remove the software completly from my Vista Machine and do a clean boot, then re-install the software. It is somewhat long and tedious, but is working just fine.

Highly recommend to do a clean boot when installing this software, disabling the Norton 360 and all other computer protection programs that might be running.

yes the graphics are good but why make a sim with only a handfull of aircraft.The online sucks, you can only find a few servers that are open too the public. Dont waste your money here..
