The 20gb harddrive for the xbox 360 is great, for me its all i need storage wise. Holds plenty of music but if you're looking to store a lot of movies and demos you might want to check out the 120gb hdd. But for most this is great, works perfect, looks awesome on the system too. If you don't have one go buy one, you need it for backwards compatibility.
