Microbiology by Berdell R. Funke, Christine L. Case, Gerard J. Tortora (2009, Package)

This book cost $140 USED at the book store in by school and it didn't come with the website access code. Buying the international version is the way to go if you are a broke college kid. The only difference is the soft cover you get vs. the hard cover of the US version.

Well I had to purchase the book anyway for school and I didn't want to spend a lot of money. This was an excellent purchase and I received the book in a week.

This textbook was shipped quickly and in great condition. I will buy from this seller again. The text was three times the price everywhere else online and in stores. Very satisfied customer.

I'm not really satisfied with the book; however, I have no time returning the book. At first, the book was shipped to wrong destination. It took me three days more to wait for the book. Then, because of mishandling the book while shipped to me, the book was bumped on the corner. Overall, I satisfied that the book is brand new as the seller stated in the book's description.

The book arrived outside of the estimated time date. That was a little irritating but the book was in the condition expected and wasn't too late. Maybe a little faster shipping would've been nice. Would buy from them again.

The only down fall was that the book was an internatonal edition which was not stated in the description but it wasn't really a big deal, it's exactly the same as the regular edition. NO PROBLEM.

Tortora/Funke/Case present microbiology in a decently straightforward manner and cover a wide range of topics, from the fundamentals of microbiology to the role of microbes in human disease and the environment. A lot can be learned from this book.

The book was brand new, as advertised. Cons: It took a little longer for delivery than I expected - 8 days by mail.

The book was just as described! Instead of paying 150 bucks, I got a great deal on the same exact book. Only difference is that this book is paperback but doesn't make a difference when the information is the same!!

I am sharing my review because this may be able to help someone else save over $100 on the ridiculous cost of US text books...

I bought this book thinking I was getting the same version as my classmates, the $190 book from the school bookstore. When it arrived I was immediately disappointed and skeptical because the book was paperback and displayed a different cover. I compared the book to one of my classmates and found that the International version, which I paid ~$80 for, is absolutely identical to the US Version... word for word and picture for picture.

this book has the same content as the American edition but is over $100 less then my school bookstore. The only difference is that it is a paperback.

I bought it because i needed it for a class, it was cheap and it said the pages were the same as the other version. And it came almost instantly, it was soo awesome to have my book to study with sooo soon i could not be happier :D

This Book was never received, I had to buy a new one from bookstore in order to start the class with needed materials. Claim is still pending to see if I will get a refund..

I love this book. It is exactly like the book I needed, but over $150 cheaper and It is STILL NEW TOO! It is an amazing book and is working greatly with my class. It was priced the best I have ever seen, Everyone should buy their books from this buyer.

Pretty good...color...etc. I have not used the book much yet but based on what I have seen so far it appears to contain a lot of information on microbiology. It has several links to websites for further studying and everything is provided in manageable pieces.
