Michael Clayton (Blu-ray Disc, 2008)

The PQ was a 4 out of 5 as it seems there is heavy DNR in places, you'll notice very splotchy backgrounds from time to time.

The AQ is quite nice, not the best I've heard. 4.5 out of 5.

The extras are very minimal. 3 out of 5.

GOOD MOVIE-NOT AN ACTION PACKED MOVIE BUT KEEPS YOU INTERESTED. GREAT ACTING BY CLOONEY, SWINTON AND WILKINSON. GOT MY COPY ON EBAY FOR $12.0-WOULD NOT HAVE BOUGHT IT FOR ANY MORE THAN $15.00.

What a disappointment. :-( Get it used here on eBay if you must. Cheesy effects and a worn-out story line to boot. Definitely not worth the retail price and don’t bother renting it either. GREAT Seller though.

I thought this movie was not good. It moved SOOO slow, and was not entertaining. I would not recommend this movie to anyone.

This movie was excellent. The fact that it was re-released when a lot of people hadn't heard much about it definitly boosted it, as did Clooney's oscar nomination for best actor. Clooney stars as a fixer for a large law firm, and when one of the firms best attorneys basically starts to lose it, Michael is forced to find him and set him straight. There are of course bumps in the road on the way as Michael confronts his own demons and comes to terms with his choices in life. Tilda Swinton also earns her best supporting actress oscar as the head of a large firm that the law firm represents. She has worked hard for her title and someone taking that away from her is out of the question. Let it not be forgotten that Tom Wilkinson gives what I believe is the best performance of his career as Arthur, the attorney that by some standards has lost it. By other standards he has gained a conscience. Definitly worth the rental, but in my opinion, definitly worth owning in blu ray.
