Of Mice and Men (DVD, 2003, Special Edition)

I bought this movie for the sole purpose of seeing Gary Sinise in one of his early works after seeing him on CSI:NY. Sinise and John Malkovich were awesome as George and Lenny. After watching this DVD I went out and bought the novel, Of Mice and Men, and loved it! This movie was so well done that I've been inspired to read more Steinbeck. Of Mice and Men's theme of companionship really touched me and my favorite scene was at the end with Lenny and George walking away from the camera together; I was really moved by that shot. The music in the movie was great and the wide shots of the fields and landscape were beautiful. I also very much enjoyed the commentary by Gary Sinise. There is nothing negative I have to say about this movie other than I wish there had been more to the novel so the movie could have been longer.

I had seen this movie before and found it to be a moving, sometimes funny, sometimes heartwrenching commentary on society in general. It is well acted with memorable dialogue and characters. John Malkovich and Gary Sinise are both fabulous. I bought this movie to share with my college-age daughter who had not read the book, nor seen the movie. I highly recommend it.

Fantastic Movie. Great film on love, compassion and caring. Gary Sinese at his best. Shows an excellent art of survival and living ones dreams of hopes and wishes. Portrays people of all types learning to work together.

These characters show passion and trust for one another, I have always loved this moving since I saw it first back some years ago. Highly reccomeded!!!!

We first viewed this movie years ago with the family. We were watching TV and stumbled accross it, and everybody loved it! When I bought this, I gathered all the now grown children and grand-children around and watched it again. While some parts are squeemish for small viewers, it has a great message, and is still a very moving story. One of my highest recommendations....5 stars!

This is a movie I saw when it was first released, and it continues to be one of my all time favorites!

This movie was excellent. My husband wanted it so i bought it and i have NO regrets. It is a very heart touching movie.

I love this movie, it started in high school when i read the book and watched the movie in english class. it's very touching just the fact that this man has to look after his "special" friend and has to put him down in the end right when you think he was getting better. I've been searching for this movie everywheres Wal-Mart didn't even have it... so i searched on here and bam its here
