Mezzanine by Massive Attack (CD, May-1998, Virgin Records USA)

this cd has really smoothe tunes. a friend from cali sent me one along with a morcheeba cd and i fell in love with both. i used to listen to this years ago and rediscovered it from the opening of "House". it's a perfect opening to this wonderful tv show on fox. good mix of both female and male voices. unique style and interesting vocals.

Listening to this album makes me wish I had found out about them years ago. From the melodic beats to the creepy yet enchanting vocals Mezzanine is a fine album that I am glad to have purchased. What's more, the CD fits nicely on a shelf, and comes in a special carrying sleeve for transport through the postal service; I think they call it an envelope.

This band is awesome they have used songs on this album on the popular hit show HOUSE AND SOME OF THE SAME MUSIC ON THIS CD IS USED ON A LEAST ONE MOVIE. They are awesome and you should but this cd

This is a slightly more melancholy turn for the trip-hop inventors Massive Attack. This cd is both dark and beautiful, but not quite as dark as the 100th Window. This was possibly the greatest trip-hop album and possibly the best Massive Attack album. My personal favorites are Risingson, Teardrop, Dissolved Girl, and Angel. This album seethes with soul, but not the bluesy soul of Blue Lines. This brooding album is one that gets under my skin and that is usually a good thing in music. Highly recommended to anyone that enjoys electronic or enlightening music. The rap on here is how rap should be-meaningful and unmaterialistic.

There is nothing more I can say -- this is one stunning album!

All these songs are very soothing and emotional, they are touching and encouraging at the same time. Teardrop was one of the best tracks in this album. The singer just had experienced a terrible incident involving her love while recording that track, and her voice is just so truthful and heart-melting. Group Four, Dissolved Girl and Mezzanine are the other outstanding ones. But at the same time, I must say that the rest of the tracks are basically just as amazing!

Anyways, two thumbs up for Mezzanine by Massive Attack!!

This is a wonderful CD that will lead you to new elements each time you listen. Everyone I have introduced to this to absolutely loves it.
