  Meteora -- Excellent CD!
Review created: 05/17/09

Great CD! Every song is sweet and has it's own unique flavor, which is a rarity. I am looking forward to getting Minutes to Midnight sometime soon from them as well as any other CDs they may come out with in the future.

Just can't decide which LP album is their best. The quality and the time that went into this album is quite apparent. LOVE it!

  Chester's Hotness Reaches Meteoric Proportions
Review created: 05/17/04
by: broomqueesha -- a member of Epinions

Pros:
Chester is still hot; they remain faithful to the sound that made them famous.

Cons:
Not enough pictures of Chester in the booklet.

The Main Idea: Linkin Park's second proper studio effort, Meteora, was delivered in the spring of 2003, and fans welcomed it with open arms. If you liked Hybrid Theory, then you'll love this record because it doesn't stray from the slightly radio-friendly rock/rap sound of the band's debut. The production values have gone up quite a bit, so Meteora does sound more polished and glossy, but the raw emotion, rousing guitars, and tasteful sampling are all still there - oh yeah, and Chester is still hot. :) Anyway, Linkin Park proves they're more than just a one-trick pony with their sophomore set.

Not a good follow-up album to Hybrid Theory
Review created: 05/08/04
by: ryz_boogiedj -- a member of Epinions

Pros:
Only several good songs in the album.

Cons:
Same typical Linkin Park stuff fans would expect.

With their fresh sound of rap, rock, Dj mixing and heavy metal, Link Park is one band that is here to stay for a long time. This is what I would say when I got Hybrid Theory in my CD collection. I liked Linkin Park back then. But when I got Meteora, I was thoroughly disappointed in it. I just went through 36 minutes of screaming, rapping, same chords of guitars, similar singing verses etc etc.. This album is basically the same as any other Linkin Park material you would expect. The first 13 seconds of the album is dedicated to a worthless interlude of noise. That's it. You can hear glass...

Linkin Park Deliver the Goods on the Meteora CD/DVD 2 Pack
Review created: 04/24/04
by: tkd_grant -- a member of Epinions

Pros:
The video and CD

Cons:
...

Linkin Park s Meteora - CD/DVD 2 Pack set is really a great deal. Not only do you get the band s second studio album, but you also get a thirty minute, behind-the-scenes look at the making of Meteora. I actually purchased this box set when it first came out in 2003, but for some reason I ve avoided watching the video until now. I ve already written a review on the CD portion of Meteora which you can find here, but since this is a two piece set, I m going to review the video first, and I ll copy and paste the important sections of the album review here as well. For those of you out there that..

  Linkin Park Comeback
Review created: 03/31/04
by: psycho-joe -- a member of Epinions

Pros:
A step up from Reanimation, and about the same level as Hybrid Theory.

Cons:
Just as good as Hybrid Theory, yet not as catchy songs.

Linkin Park are like Marmite, you either love them or hate them. Which makes my job of reviewing this album rather pointless as you are either one of the hoards of fans that will hang on the Park's every word and rush out and buy this album regardless of it's quality. Or you are one of the people that (like many) despise the band, everything they stand for and everything they do, meaning you will stay 100 miles away from any new Linkin Park material. However I shall, regardless of your already fixed opinion review this album anyway. The big question playing on everyone's minds is, were Linkin.

Linkin Park Has Discovered Where They Belong, And They Prove It On Meteora
Review created: 03/27/04
by: tkd_grant -- a member of Epinions

Pros:
Production, Lyrics, Vocals

Cons:
Songs sound alike

I actually purchased Linkin Park s sophomore studio album Meteora when it first came out (March 2003), yet for some reason, it failed to impress me. Though the production sounded much more crisp and clear, I just felt that there was a lack of a certain something that I found on Hybrid Theory. A year or so later, after hearing the infectious rap-rock sounds of Faint and Numb, I ve decided to give Meteora another chance. I guess I must ve been in a bad mood or on something something last year, because now I think this album is definitely a step above Hybrid Theory, due to the production,...
