What can I saw its Metal Gear, Metal Gear solid....
Its revolutionary for its time because of its great/complex story, game play, characters, control mechanics, and its graphics for its time... All Around is a 100% complete game and on my top 10 games of all time!!!

This is one of the best classic games for PlayStation, which provides great entertainment for their different missions and levels of complexity. The only inconvenniente is for those with PlayStation 2, which presents problems to save games.

In conclusion I highly recommend as an interesting game at a good price.

i just got this game and have only played a few hours worth, but those hours have been full of enjoyment! this game has a very fun story and exelent gameplay, the graphics are good for a psone game, it is a little violent and contains some blood, also some adult conversations, like for instance, a woman offering snake the opportunity to give her a strip search if he survives. so keep that in mind if your buying it for a younger gamer.

This game is excellent Metal Gear Solid is set in 2005,where a genetically enhanced next-generation special forces unit commanded by FOXHOUND lead an armed uprising on a remote island in Alaska's Fox Archipelago. This island, codenamed Shadow Moses, is the site of a nuclear weapons disposal facility. The forces that seized this island have acquired the nuclear-capable mecha Metal Gear REX, and are threatening the US government with a nuclear reprisal if they do not receive the remains of the "legendary mercenary" Big Boss within 24 hours

Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty
Sons of Liberty opens on the George Washington Bridge in New York City, in 2007, two years after the Shadow Moses incident, the events of the original Metal Gear Solid. Solid Snake and Otacon, now members of the non-governmental organization Philanthropy, are investigating the development of a new Metal Gear consistently described as being amphibious and having been designed as a counter-Metal Gear unit which have been built since Metal Gear REX's design was leaked. Shortly after Snake's arrival on the disguised oil tanker U.S.S. Discovery, a group of Russian terrorists under the command of Russian nationalist Sergei Gurlukovich attack the ship. After sneaking up to the bridge, Snake encounters Olga, Sergei's daughter, who has refused to leave the tanker despite being pregnant.
After he successfully tranquilizes her in combat, Snake sneaks down to the hold in order to record pictures of the new Metal Gear, RAY. Matters rapidly escalate as Revolver Ocelot betrays and murders Sergei Gurlukovich. It is revealed that Ocelot has received a new arm after Metal Gear Solid, that of the late Liquid Snake, which via unknown means causes a change in Revolver Ocelot's demeanor and behavior, with Liquid somehow 'possessing' him. Under Liquid's control he sinks the tanker, and escapes with RAY before regaining command of his body.

Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater
Metal Gear Solid 3 is set during the Cold War in 1964, where a CIA agent, codenamed "Naked Snake", is sent to the jungles of the Soviet Union. Aided over radio by Major Zero, Para-Medic, and his former mentor The Boss, his mission is to rescue a defecting Soviet scientist named Sokolov who is secretly developing an advanced nuclear-equipped tank called the "Shagohod." The mission goes smoothly until The Boss defects and provides her new benefactor Colonel Volgin with two Davy Crockett miniature nuclear shells. Sokolov is captured by the Cobra Unit and Snake is heavily injured in combat by The Boss, allowing Volgin and his cohorts to escape with Sokolov. Volgin detonates one of the nuclear shells to cover up its theft, which is subsequently blamed on The Boss.

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots
Set in 2014, five years after the "Big Shell Incident" (the events of the Plant Chapter from Metal Gear Solid 2), Metal Gear Solid 4 portrays a world where PMCs have effectively replaced the world's standing armies, fighting proxy wars for business purposes. Nanotechnology has become prominent, both to enhance the capabilities and enforce the loyalty of mercenaries. The nanomachine system that PMCs use is called "Sons of the Patriots" or "SOP." The five largest of these PMCs are owned by a single mother company named Outer Heaven, operated by Liquid Ocelot. Amassing an army whose manpower rivals that of the United States, Liquid prepares to launch an armed insurrection by taking control of SOP

Metal Gear Solid is possibly the best game to ever come out on any console. The long and twisting plot, well developed characters, and interesting and cutting edge weaponry and gameplay keep you riveted throughout the whole game. If you're looking for a game that you'll look forward to playing and won't want to stop because you want to find out whats next this is the game for you.

One of the greatest PS1 games made. If you don't already own it I recommend hunting one down, and where else to do that other than eBay!

Defiantly one of my favorite games of all time. The game has great production values and an emotionally touching story. The controls are great and especially the graphics are amazing for a PS1 game. The game is totally playable, even to people who play games on next-gen consoles. The game belongs in any collection.

Amazing game if you like any of the ps2 metal gear solid games this one is 10x better. A true classic.

My first Metal Gear game was Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. I was amazed by the detail and gameplay of the game and wanted to find out more about the series. The next game I played was Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty (which I stole from my friend). It was also a great game (even though the story sucked) I tried looking for Metal Gear Solid in stores, but I could not find it so I ordered it off ebay. The game was surprisingly different from the other two (and much more difficult), but I did enjoy it. The graphics and gameplay may not be on par with the newer titles, but the story and value are much better. If you want to get into the stealth action genre or want to find out what started the now famous Metal Gear series I would highly recommend playong Metal Gear Solid.

Simply the best playstation game you will play...i have beat this game about 10 times and it never seems to get old, I would highly recommend this game

I first played Metal Gear Solid on a demo disc I received in the mail way back in 1998. You could only play the first five minutes of the game but when those five minutes were up, I HAD to get the game! Metal Gear Solid is the best game to be released on the original Sony Playstation.

The protagonist is a government agent named Solid Snake. Six years have past since the Zanzibar crisis and he's since been retired from FOXHOUND. However, his old war buddy, Roy Campbell, pulls him out of retirement and sends him on a mission to Shadow Moses Island up in Alaska where terrorists have seized a nuclear weapons disposal facility and demand the remains of Big Boss or they'll launch a nuclear strike using a doomsday device called Metal Gear Rex.

I'm not going to give any more details away. This game is pure genius and there's so many cool things in the storyline. I will tell you that Snake gets betrayed by one of his comrades but I won't tell you which one. You'll just have to play and find out.

The graphics may not be the best but come on! This game was released back in 1998. What did you expect? But there is a significant improvement in the graphics in 'Sons of Liberty.'

The game was directed by the genius Hideo Kojima. I think most people will back me up on this: he has definitely changed the way people look at video games! This game gets a well-deserved 5/5!

It's the best action/stealth game on psx. The orginal metal gear on NES was good but this game blows the platform away with it's exciting action and awsome story line.

This is a 2 disc game released for the Sony Playstation in 1998.

At this point in time, video games were still evolving into what they are today, and I believe "Metal Gear Solid" had a lot to do with that.

There's an immersing story with great dialogue, and the character design was well done. The game is full of cut-scenes which usually indicate strange plot-twists you didn't see coming.

I think this game is a genuine work of art for the Playstation console.
