SPANISH / ENGLISH VERSION >(mid text)---------------------------------

ENGLISH TEXT--------------------------------------------------------------------

you will subsist not to have it?, you will persist in your decision?

Divided in 3 discs, (the limited version) and in 2 the common version.

MGS 3 Subsistence, (first disc), are the key piece to understand the beginnings of the saga and the reasons that take to the different personages to be protagonists in the facts of the later titles.
MGS 3 Snake Eater with camera in 3ra person, is almost like new game , as if you controlled that personage who accidentally looks much like Snake, (Sam), but much more Japanese style, (therefore better).
theater is a simple way for player to be able to appreciate the select moments of Snake Eater without having to play everything or to have a file recording before the cinemas.

Persistence (second disc)
The extra games , (Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake), completes history vision of the "transformation" that undergoes Jack until its end at the hands of its own "son".
The online mode is fantastic almost does not offer too much errors and is very fun to play; MGS is not a FPS game , adding the elements to make it a classic of MGS as a new concept in the saga is opened.
Secret theater is a jewel of Japanese humor that before was only possible to see online.
The duel mode is far better that in its predecessors since it adds a difficulty that makes honor to the "subsistence" title.
and finally "snake vs monkey", a real crazy person idea that is not found very often. in this opportunity returns using the levels of Snake Eater but that also there are new and an extra levels.
you cannot let go this title. as a fanatic and videogamer... Subsistence it is a imperdible title that will make you fell the "Tactical Espionage Action".

Metal Gear Solid 3 is amazing. Everything about this game is gold. Visuals, Music, voice acting, and superb gameplay. Hideo Kujima is a Genious. I had my doublts on this after the ever so great yet dissapointing Metal Gear Solid 2 but I was wrong. Metal Gear Solid 3 proves to be one of the best games around and is one of the biggest titles of the year. Forget Grand Theft Auto and play this game! Metal Gear Solid 3 is not only one of the best games ever created but it's quiet simply the best MGS game. It has everthing you'll love from the first one and times ten mixed with steriods!

Another thing that makes the new gameplay of Metal Gear Solid 3 is the CQC and the new survival Menue which lets you eat, cure self and so on which is a great element to the MGS series. What also makes Metal Gear the best in the series is that the game is suprisingly long taking about 20 to 22 hours(It took me 18 hours)and trust me evertime you're in a new area you'll just stop and stare at the lushis graphics of the beautiful Jungle and its invorments. Metal Gear Solid 3 is also superb cause of the amazing boss battles. One of the biggest parts of the game is the Sorrow who is the coolest boss in the game(and the most mysterious). Overall Metal Gear Solid 3 proves to up the anti. So let's get to it.

game has a little bit of a learning curve to but overall you can control snake pretty well. as for the online mode its fun but if your looking for more clan based actions and massive weapon selections, maps and players i would go with socom 3. the game has one of the best stories of any game i have ever played. as some people who have played the mgs series b4 the story and missions flow nicely and i would rate this game as one of the best games of all times. the games is also fairly lenghty which i liked took me about 16 hours to beat the game. alo the game has a buch of extras which i liked like the monkey vs snake game, or the dual game. it also includes mgs 1 and 2 not something i would not play but if u like those old games then hey whatever floats your boat. another thing i liked is that they added a funny remix of all the serious cutscenes in the movie. its nice that the makers of this game can find humor and fun of a game that has such a serious story. a lil advise i would give to peopel that play the game is to explorer the world as much as you can and take your time. you will see that if u rush tru it you will miss alot of stuff and weapons that you could really use. and this is big advise 'watch all of the cutscens' you wont regret putting your controler down to watch masterpiece unfold. also if u see a toy froggy shoot it. if u shoot them all u get some kind of stealth suit or something like that im too lazy to replay the game for a third time. overall for the price, the masterpiece storyline, and the online mode i would highly recomend this game to anyone who loves tactical shooters, or anyone who in few words would want to play a masterpiece of a game.

I played Snake Eater a bit so this game didn't impress me much. The new camera controll is pretty awesome and when you fight Boss at the end and it forces you to use the restricted camera you realize how great life has been with updated version. Despite that I think the game may be the exact same.

It was my brother's birthday last month, and he told me that he wanted Metal Gear Solid 3:Subsistence. I couldn't find it anywhere here, so I checked e-bay. Lo and behold, I found it, nearly brand-new and at a better price than I could have gotten it for in any store! He was very happy with it, so I was, too.. He said it plays perfectly, and that he's already played through two or three times!

I have always been a huge fan of the Metal Gear Solid games and 3 is my most favorite, awsome graphics, story line, music, gameplay and characters. The only thing that I have always hated about the Metal Gear Solid games is the camera, so man was I excited when I heard that they were giving Subsistence a full 3D camera. Let me just say that the new camera system makes this like a whole new game and so much better. Much like with Resident Evil 4's new play mechanics I could not imagine ever playing another Metal Gear now without the 3D camera. If you played SnakeEater I still highly recomend playing through subsistence, you will notice that their is so much more too see and so much that you have been missing.

Kojima makes the PS2 (and PS3 maybe) the best system
Review created: 08/17/06

I wrote a review about Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater way back and I said I would actually rate that game 4.7 out of 5, if there had been that rating choice. Well, for this game, an renovation of Snake Eater, I would rate it no less than 5 out of 5.

Although it's pretty much the same game as Snake Eater, the fact that now you can switch between overhead 3d camera and rotational camera (like used in Splinter Cell among other games) makes this game feel like a new game. Now you have complete awareness of what's going on in the jungle and in the warehouses, allowing you to do the perfect stealth kills (My favorite is grabbing them with a throat to their neck, pushing them down to the ground and making them cower in fear, kicking them a few times and then shooting them in the head with a tranquilizer dart).

The game's new addition also includes brand new camouflages and face paing. (and they rock) You could also download fanmade camouflages onto your memory card, WITHOUT access to internet!!! Awesome!!!

But that's not all the new addition this game makes. Along with the great, great single-player stealth action game that is Snake Eater, Hideo Kojima decided players should now be given a theater of not only the entire cinamatics in the game but also a secret theater in which lot of cinamatics in MGS3 is spoofed and will make you laugh till your stomach hurts.

Then there is special duel modes, allowing you to do boss fights in the game but with special challanges. Do you want more? How about the original Metal Gear 1 and Metal Gear 2, all improved with new translation and refitted soundtrack and graphics?

Kojima also gives new stages of Snake Vs. Monkey. I've never really liked those so that's that but...

MGS3 is now online thanks to this product!!! Now you can show off your stealth skills to people worldwide!!!

Now, if that's not enough to make you just fall in love with Hideo Kojima (plutonically), then you just aren't made for great, clever, amazing video games. This is a game to have, even if you already have Snake Eater because this game just purely ROCKS!!!

  Best Metal Gear Yet

1 of 2 people found this review helpful.

Whether you have played one of the Metal gears before, if your ready to purchase one make sure Metal Gear 3 Subsistence is the one, The graphics on this game are just killer, by far the most realistic game to date for Ps2. The game play takes a little getting used to but other than that..great game all around. Also for the first time in Ps2 history the multiplayer is awesome, Not a played down verison of the single player. I recommend 9 out of 10.

This game has absolutly everythign you would ever want in a video game,an air tight control scheme, graphics that compete with next gen systems, a storyline that can make you litterally cry, and the ability to interact with almost absolutly everything in the game. Like for example you can tranquilize a poisenous snake, you put that in your cage and arm it into your backpack and you can throw this poisenous snake at a gaurd and freak him out or sometimes it will bite him and he may pass out or die. its these little things that make this game everthing it is. and it is EVERYTHING. i can say with confidence that it surpasses metal gear solid 2 by a milestone. and the storyline is actually better than the first game. trust me youll want this hanging up on your wall.

  GREAT GAME!

alex312s ( 3 )

This game is pretty badass expecially if you played metal gear solid 1 and 2. You dont play as Solid Snake but as his genetic father and in the end, it kinda explains a whole lot on the story of the series since its a prequel to the other games. Subsitence is way better then Snake Eater cause you get the 3rd person camera so if anyone wants to play Metal Gear Solid 3, they should get Subsitence.

The begining of buy in Ebay
Review created: 08/03/09

The firs time a play this game I loved it. However, I was really stupid because I didn't buy it the very first time I saw it.But this time I was more intelligent and I entered Ebay knowing that the probability to find it is more possible in this electronic bid than in a Gamestop store at Puerto Rico. So I found the game in Ebay by the seller of QualityDisc and I bought it. The game is in very good condition playable and enjoyable. Thanks, QualityDisc.

Just take 2 minutes and read this. This is very EASY to do! It literally
takes 10 minutes to setup. Simply follow the steps below. I promise you,
this is 100% real. I will answer you on any question! Here is what you
do. Click on the link below, register, pick an account type (referral is
the easiest) and complete just 1 offer (Very important that you complete
the 1 offer otherwise your account will sit in limbo until you do). This
is not like other sites where you need to complete one offer on 2 or 3
different pages!!! And a lot of these offers are FREE trials with
nothing else to buy...No commitments!!!

There are plenty of cool offers to choose from such as Blockbuster
online, Stamp.com, Netflix, Gamefly which are services you would
regularly sign up for anyways and their all secure networks, why not use
them to get a free PS3 System or cash (I did the Stamps.com for a 30 day
free trial and it never cost me a penny and I received credit for it the
same day). Look at the offers and choose the one that works for you.
After signing up and completing your one offer, simply refer 8-13 people
(depending on the FREE prize you choose) to do the same under your link
(just post the same thing as I have on eBay, and you'll get your
referrals before the auction even ends.)

Then they will ship your PS3 System or your selected item for free, I
chose the PS3 80gb System. No Joke, 100% REAL!!! The reason these
companies make money, is because most people don't bother getting all
the referrals. All you have to do is post it ! They use us as
advertisement by word of mouth which saves them tons of money which goes
toward yours and my free gift. These are legit companies such as
Blockbuster, Netflix, Gamefly etc... You can copy my listing if you
want. You must use your own authentic link though. You will get your own

Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistance Review
Review created: 06/05/09
by:

I bought the Metal Gear Solid combination pack with MGS 1,2, and 3. This was the version of MGS3 that came with the pack. I like this version of the game (subsistance) better than the original because the camera view is the more of a free movement camera like in MGS4. This allows you to see and navigate through the expansive environment easily without having to go inch by inch in the previous games with the fixed camera angles. As far as the game goes it is among the best. Most of what the game is about is in its description so I will not go on about that. I will just say that the gameplay and visuals are amazing. You can also beat it with different dificulties and accomplishment to unlock cool stuff such as infinite ammo and stealth camo.
