Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty IS ONE OF THE BEST STEALTH GAME OUT THERE. THE GRAPHICS ARE AMAZING. YOU HAVE A VARIERTY OF WEAPONS SUCH TRANQUILIZER , AK'S, TO STINGER MISSILES. THIS GAME HAS EVERY TACTICAL WEAPON IMAGINE. THIS GAME IS VERY LONG SO DONT WORRY ABOUT A SHORT VIDEO GAME. IT HAS AN AMAZING STORYLINE.THIS GAME IS A MUST HAVE. I GIVE THIS GAME A 5 OUT 5.

When I first heard about Metal Gear Solid 2 being released, I was so excited. The first Metal Gear Solid was an awesome game and I couldn't wait to see what 'Sons of Liberty' had in stock.

The first chapter of the game starts 2 years after the Shadow Moses incident. Snake is on a mission to find out about the new metal gear developement and expose it to the world. To do this, he sneaks aboard a tanker (called the 'Discovery', a spoof from 2001: A Space Odyssey) and must take photographic evidence of the new metal gear (codenamed RAY). When he confronts the new model, things turn sour. I won't tell you what happens. You'll have to play and see for yourself.

There is another chapter in the game but I can't tell you what it's about without revealing details from the Tanker Chapter. The only thing I can tell you is that in the second chapter, you don't play as Snake. You play as a new FOXHOUND recruit codenamed Raiden.

Overall, this game is one of the greatest games of all time! There are so many cool twists and turns in the story and there are a lot of cool weapons and stealth tactics you can use to avoid being detected by enemies. I love this game and HIGHLY recommend it to EVERYONE! 5/5 overall -- no wait: 6/5 overall!

Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty is the follow-up to one of the most captivating and intelligent adventures on the original PlayStation. Solid Snake, everyone's favorite mullet-sporting supersoldier, is back, along with many other familiar faces and voices. While its predecessor was lauded for telling a complex story, this sequel has even more fascinating twists and turns. Also, like Metal Gear Solid, MGS2 takes console-game storytelling to an entirely new level with stunning in-game movies, great graphics, and game mechanics that let you find your own solutions to challenges. The game's twisting and at times bizarre plot will undoubtedly keep some gamers perplexed.
Konami has replaced the moronic enemies from the first MGS with more cerebral and capable foes; this causes an even greater emphasis on stealth than the original. The controls have been refined and Snake's repertoire of moves has grown, significantly deepening the gameplay. This is, technically and stylistically, one of the best-looking PS2 games on the market. The sound is also topnotch, with a fabulous score and outstanding voice acting. What makes this game such a standout, however, is how all of these sight, sound, and story elements combine to immerse the player into an entertainment form somewhere between movie and game. It will be years before Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty is surpassed. This is interactive entertainment at its finest.

i bought it because i was interested in the metal gear series. also, it got the award of best game. after playing it, it was clear to me that it was a great game. i recommend anyone who wants to get this item to get it quick

OK, I absolutely loved MGS1, it was one of the best titles for the original PS1. Whether you're a fan of the series or a first timer, this game is definitely worth the purchase price. You start out playing the series main character "Snake" for the first 1/4 of the game, and then you assume the role of a new character named Raiden for the rest of the game. Snake is still involved in the entire storyline of this game, which ends up playing out pretty awesome. Controls are smooth, cinematics are awesome, all in all, you should definitely check this one out.

The game is fun! It really holds my attention. I love the search for guns and ammunition, while being shadowed by the enemy. T decided to buy game because I enjoy these types of games and this is an excellent one.

A classic from the MGS series. You have to really appreciate this game (and the others) to understand the message that Hideo Kojima is trying to send out. Any of the MGS games will be icons, so get them while you can!

Graphics for this game were great for a PS2 game. Some of the missions were extremely difficult and had I not had a cheat disc, some of them I felt were almost impossible. Overall I would have to say that the game gets an 8.5 out of 10 and a big thumbs up!!!!!

This product is a great game, it has a great story, it has great gameplay, the controls are easy to use, it is also very challenging for those that like the challenge of collecting all the dog tags, and also the difficulty level is also very challenging. I would recommend this product to any hardcore gamer.

I like this game because it is basically the continuing story of solid snake and it includes returning characters from metal gear solid 1. It's a fun game, fairly easy and what can I say I'm just a really big fan of the metal gear series. I would recommend the other metal gear games as well.

Execellent game.. I had played before snake eater and it was great but son of liberty is the best so far. also for the year that it was made graphics are extremely great..couldnt keep my hands off from game... when i got it at first time I spent the whole weekend stock to the TV playing it..thats how great this game is.....KONAMI and ROCK STAR so far are the best making spy games and other games....

If you love spy movies and suspence...this is your game...good graphics and excelent story line...MetalGear is all there is for you. I may sound like a seller, but I'm not, I love this game!!

Very impressive game. Story line was extremely interesting and details. The more I played the game and the story unraveled, the more I wanted to play. Graphics are impressive for the year it was released. I was never was bored with this game. The AI was fairly intelligent and the bosses were challenging. Although, I didn't like the "special" characteristics some of the bosses had, but it had made more sense at the end of the game (I don't want to spoil what those characteristics are, but they are obvious).

The Seller shipped the item fast but failed to disclose the fact that there is a blockbuster sticker on the CD.

I bought this game because I Metal Gear is a great series of games and this specific one is of the better in my opinion.

When this game was released, it was hailed as one of the greatest game for Playstation 2 ever released and five years later, I still agree. The graphics are superb. The story is a little far-fetched but still good. After all, what would a metal gear game be without a far -fetched story? The story is little confusing as there are so many twists and turns. The cutscenes (of which there are many) are beautifully rendered and fun to watch.

This game takes place on a huge "oil rig" known as BIG SHELL. The area you get to explore is huge and can get a little confusing but after a few hours, you'll have it down-pat. The controls are what you'd expect out of MGS as well as the enemy A.I. Some enemies are challenging but I wouldn't call any of them "hard".

The game is pretty long, it takes around 20 hours to complete...not including cutscenes and the many deaths you will incur. One thing about this game this is unique is that it is FUN to watch other people play, it's almost like watching a really long movie.

In my eyes, you needs to play this game...NOW! Once you start you just can't stop, you will stay up long after your girlfriend has gone to bed playing until you make yourself go to bed when the sun comes up.

I'm serious - PS2 should have originally came with a copy of MGS2 demo.
If you have a PS2 and don't have the game and are reading this review, no need to read, just buy one and you will see why MGS2 has caused such a commotion in the gaming world.
