The Merck Veterinary Manual by Cynthia M. Kahn (2005, Hardcover)

We bought this edition as a replacement for an edition we bought 7 or 8 years ago. We raise cattle and it is by far the best source of vet information that we have found. It is very compresensive, but is still easy to use and understand. Cannot imagine being without a copy.

I am a veterinarian, since i graduated in 1980, I have to buy the new edition of this great book, always great to have it.

THIS IS ONE BOOK THAT EVERY LIVESTOCK OWNER HAS TO HAVE. IT HELPS WITH NUTRITION AND HERD HEALTH. AN INTERESTING AND INFORMATIVE VALUABLE BOOK OF KNOWLEDGE.

This gives a lot of info about the diseaes and treatment of all types of animals both domestic and wild.

If you are a pet owner and really care about the health of your pet, this manual is the one you need. It covers all types of animals and includes the diseases and problems that animals can get. Very nicely organized with tabs to get to correct section very quickly. The information can help to save you some money on vet bills as well. This one is a must if you want to keep your pet healthy without running to the vet for every little thing that comes along.

Fabulous information. Bought it because I'll be going to Vet School soon and I wanted this to start off my collection. Excellent detail, covers nearly everything you could want to know.

Though I had little bit problem while processing, the deal was good and the shipping was quicker than I expected.

This book comes in handy for the occassional issue with smaller farm animals. It probably is a little more detailed than I was looking for but it will help. We had a peacock who lost his foot and I wanted to learn more about issues we may have with him. This is why we bought this book.

This is a very technical manual. I bought it because I have 6 dogs and 2 cats.
However, it is not written in layman's terms, but in medical jargon, which is difficult for me to understand. It is useful though, if you want to look up something very specific, such as a particular type of cancer in dogs.
