I thought this would be a late summer blockbuster to fill the void before the fall onslaught of games. I was wrong.
Good points - Firstly this game is well made. It looks good, controls fairly well and has a lot going on. It's a lot like GTA4 in the respect that you can go do which missions you like whenever or if you just feel like going around town blowing things up, you can also do that.
Bad points - Unlike GTA4 there is nothing that resembles a decent story here. So there's nothing to push me to want to finish this game seeing as I don't have to do missions to blow stuff up. Also while this game does offer online co-op, it does not offer offline co-op. Big no no as is no online multiplayer.
Final thoughts - It's not a bad game, just nothing amazing. You could call it a poor mans GTA4. That said if you liked the first Mercs then this will be right up your ally.
