Memphis Princess by Deborah Allen (CD, Apr-2006, Renaissance Records USA)

It's hard to believe that this artist is the same artist who a few years ago put out probably the masterpiece of her career,the album "Delta Dreamland".I liked Deborah's previous hits,but "Rock Me(In The Cradle Of Love)" was as perfect as a country song could get.This album,Memphis Princess is a far cry from that.It sounds very much like an early 80's pop album.It's 2007,Deborah,the 80's are long gone.I have to say,this is probably the worst album I've ever purchased and regret wasting the money.I have several of Deb's albums in my collection and this one won't be one of them,it'll probably end up in the trash because I don't think I could give it away.Maybe she'll do a country album again someday,who knows.This review may sound brutal,but I'd expect better from an artist with such talent.I was going to review this album on amazon,but others have pretty much said the same thing as I have here,so 'nuff said!
