Paul McCartney, Memory Almost Full

The music on this disc is okay; Paul is in good voice although sometimes he sounds a bit shaky on the high notes; I guess age does that to ya. I'm glad I got the deluxe edition; it has three extra songs on it, in addition to a Paul interview. I think we all know the bonus disc material on disc 2 could have easily been put on the same disk as the album itself, which runs only about 42 minutes. So that's how money is made off us Beatles collectors, by dangling the carrot of "hey, new, cool bonus stuff on this LIMITED EDITION!" It's a good album; my favorite song is "That Was Me". It's certainly better than his last two efforts, "Chaos and Creation" and, before that, "Driving Rain". I'm not so sure I like the production on McCartney's last few albums, though; I've read he's hired outside producers to help him sound "current", but all that seems to do, at least in my view, is make him sound a bit artificial. I think the last great McCartney album, in terms of production and songs, was 1995's "Flaming pie". So there ya go. A review from me.
