Memoirs of a Geisha by Arthur Golden (2005, Paperback, Reissue)

Memoirs of a Geisha is a great book. The imagery in this book is outstanding. Each time I pick up this book to read it, I feel like I'm watching a movie that I pause each time I put it down.
The book is much better than the movie, although the movie is good. I purchased this book prior to the movie coming out and was very dissapointed with the lack of details of the movie. I gave my original book away and had to by another which I am reading for the second time now. Going back I'm picking up things that I did not recall picking up the first time. I wish the book never stopped. It is my all time favorite.

This book is an amazing testiment to the japanese culture and it was intersting to think of the magical world that existed back then. it was also a great perspective of japan during World War 2.

I absolutly loved the book! I have actually read it three times now!! There is plenty of action, romance, drama and comedy in it to please just about anyone!

there's really nothing to say i like the book and the movie. the plot was great and the ending was just what i wanted.

I can not comment since this book NEVER arrived from seller. What a bummer. I saw the movie and wanted to read it.

I Loved this book!!! It was worth every penny. Everyone should read it. I knew it was fictional, I got it in the fiction department (common sense. I liked the book way better than the movie.

I mistakenly ordered the book instead of the DVD to start off with but have decided to keep the book and will read it. I may decide to sell it in the future.

I read this book within a week. I was so excited to read such an interesting story. My interest in the book stemmed from the reality of the story. The writer gives the impression that it is a true story. I did not realize it was fictional till I had read the entire book. I was then very disappointed.
