Mel Brooks Boxset Collection (DVD, 2009, 8-Disc Box Set)

This DVD collection is unreal! If you like Mel Brooks this is a must!!!! Also If your a fan of comedy movies/parodys this is a must have collection!

Great transaction and came very fast and well packaged. I would like to have gotten the Producers and Space Balls in a 10 DVD version. Don't understand why these weren't included. But very happy I have what I have.

I am a big fan of Mel Brooks. I replaced all my VHS Mel Brooks movies with DVDs. I don't what else to say that will bring a simple subject up to 100 characters.

This DVD collection is a must have for anyone who appreciates great comedy. Timeless classics that are fresh today as they were when the movies were origianlly released in theaters.

Great collection of comedy by the "King"! Old favorites like Blazing Saddles, Young Frankenstein Robin Hood:Men in tights and ones not so well known like To be or not to be make this a great 8 pack of comedy. Others like Spaceballs and the Producer would have been a nice addition. However our family got together every Saturday night to watch a different Mel Brooks gem and had some quality "laugh time" together each week. We saw the collection at a local large Book/DVD store at an outrageous price and looked on Ebay. I found it for about 1/3 the price asked for in the big box store. Highly recommended for anyone who loves to laugh and wants movies the whole family can sit down and watch together.

I love this set!! Mel Brooks movies are thoroughly entertaining and provide hours of fun! Most all of them boast an All-Star cast. You'll find yourself using lines from the movies...especially Young Frankenstein. High Anxiety is a spoof on Alfred Hitchcock films, hysterical! Hours of good times, and very easy to watch over and over again. Enjoy!

This was a christmas gift for my father-in-law. Mel Brooks is one of the funniest directors in history. His humor is clean but still funny. It is nothing like today's comedy where you have all kinds of sexual refrences or foul languge. It is a most for all comedy collections.

Mel Brooks makes good comedy movies. I am a hemapheresis donor so I take with me, every other Monday morning, a movie to view while the exchange is being made. I like to chose my own movies instead of counting on them having one that I want to see.

Excellent Box Set by one of the funniest men to walk the Earth. The only beef I had was that it wasn't the "Complete" Mel Brooks library. Hits such as Spaceballs, Dracula: Dead & Loving It, The Producers, and Life Stinks were left out due to movie ownership or whatnot. Although, its great to have the previously-not-on-dvd movies as well such as high anxiety and the twelve chairs. Mel Brooks is a genius at cheap comedy, you'll be laughing for hours with this set. I reccomend to it even the halfway convinced fan of slapstick comedy.

there are not a lot of "features" or added bonus materials with it. It would have been really nice to have the outtakes and added bonus features. These sets are not cheap so I believe there should have been MORE to them.

Good quality. I hadn't seen these movies un-edited in a long time. I was suprised that they were a little more, well, PG-13 than I remembered, but Mel Brookes is a genious. If you remember watching any of his movies and you enjoyed them, you will probably like them all. This collection is geat. Remember, there is only one Mel Brookes and "Its good to be the king".

This set contains 8 of Mel Brooks movies, all of them among his best work. There are must-haves in Mel Brooks' body of work that are NOT here (The Producers, for example), but for the most part, everything that IS here is worth owning. Blazing Saddles and Young Frankenstein alone are worth their weight in gold, and High Anxiety, History of the World, Silent Movie and Robin Hood are sure to elicit a few good laughs as well. Two of the movies, "The Twelve Chairs" and "To Be or Not to Be", are not necessarily what one thinks of when thinking of a "typical" Mel Brooks movie; however, they were solid inclusions in this set, showing another side of this brilliantly talented man. Buy it and enjoy!

I bought this item for my cousin for Christmas. He absolutely LOVED the gift and I loved the price I paid for it! I did some shopping around in local stores and the price was outrageous! When I looked on ebay, I found the exact same product for almost 1/2 the price. My cousin really wanted this collection as he is a huge Mel Brooks fan and when I came accross the deal I did, I was pretty excited to give it to him Christmas morning.

I bought this collection because I and my wife LOVE Mel Brooks, we think he is the best comic director of all time, no subject is off limits to Mel. I'm a big fan of box sets and didn't know about this one when I went looking to build a Mel Brooks collection, I was very pleased to see this collection, it made the proccess simple. I already had Spaceballs and The Producers on dvd so this filled out the list great. Now I just have go get the Get Smart stuff. Whenever my wife and I need a good laugh we have 9 great Mel Brooks movies in our collection of 200+ dvd's. If you like to laugh, and I've only met one person that didn't, this collection should be part of your collection. It's good to be the king.

I bought this DVD set for my husbands 55th birthday. He loved it! He's wanted it for a while now. We've watched 2 of the movies so far. Great humor.

I am a Mel Brooks fan and as soon as I noticed the Boxset out I had to get it. It was an excellent decision on my part. The movies are hilarious. I saved a lot of money by purchasing it on ebay, and it's fast shipping was a plus.

The package was brand new(still sealed). Each movie is hilarious! I love that each DVD is in a slim container, so the entire set doesn't take up too much room. There is nothing I disliked about this item. I would recommend this item to everyone who loves Mel Brooks' films.
