Mega Man Anniversary Collection (Xbox, 2005)

Mega Man is one of the best games of all time, for those of you who miss the early Nintendo days. This game is a must have. It has everything from the Mega Man series and runs very smoothly.

Pros
+ Includes Mega Man 1-8 plus two bonus games.
+ Fun flashback to Capcom's golden age.

Cons
- Reminds me how frustratingly hard these games are.
- Some of the earlier games were very similiar as far as gameplay goes.

This is a great compilation disc. It explores all of the Mega Man classic series. Any fan should love a chance to own all of these games on one system.

Must have title for any Mega Man fan. Others may want to rent before buying.

Its an awesome game been playing for a couple of days, not 24/7. I remember growing up playing these games and to have them all on one disc is a brilliant idea and there are some games i never played and i love all the megaman games that are on this game and its very fun and exciting to play.

I bought the Mega Man Anniversary Collection because I love my old school games. I remember play this game as a child. It is lots of fun.

Bid on this game set for grandson, he is only 8 and I had to find him an Xbox on Ebay as they are not sold in stores anymore, have to come to Ebay for games as well. Found this set and it was a great feeling, knowing that I was going to be able to give this to my grandson..

This set of games will appeal to almost anyone that enjoyed older platform style games and especially fans of the series. Really, who hasn't played a Mega man game? There are unlockable features (which I'm sure can be done with cheats) and the games have adjustable skill levels & 3 or 5 lives per game (both of which are real handy at times!). Another big bonus is the save feature, you can quit any of the games at any time without having to write down a password and worry if it's going to work, even for megaman 1 which had no password system originally. The controls are also set up in such a way that in most of the games there is one button for turbo fire (no more button mashing!). A great, family friendly pick all around!

Son loves it because it has ten games in one. He can use the same controls for every game (except the tenth game, adds an uppercut shot).

The games add scenes from the cartoons which adds background characters - nostalgic for husband.

Son and husband can play together, which is a nice bonus.

Our first copy of this game was accidentally broken (stepped on) so this is the second time we purchased it. It's worth it.

This is a great way to go back to those good old days when we were young playing that one game system we all grew to love, the NES. Thanks for the memories.
