Meet Sailor Moon by Kodansha America

I originally purchased this title, since it was once a Toys R Us special, a book I had been searching for for 12 years!
Based on season one of the DiC cut of Sailor Moon, this book is aimed at small kids, but has beautiful art to appease we adult collectors. Fans of the uncut may like that this book sneaks in a few screencaps from the original opening for season one, as well as some other shots that were cut from the North American broadcast of Sailor Moon. Sailors Moon, Mars and Mercury each have more than two pages devoted to them, while Jupiter and Venus each have one page, since the book was published as the two were debuting. The book keeps true to the DiC cut, but mistakes the Communicator by calling it the Transmitter, also Nephrite/Nephlyte's name is mispelled as Neflite. Also interesting is the fact that DiC lists Sailor Venus's favorite food as pasta, when she really likes curry.
Reading this book brought me back to being a kid again, waking up at 6:30 each morning to catch Sailor Moon, eagerly anticipating when the Moon Princess would be found... this book, even if you're not a kid, is a great book for any Sailor Moon fan to snap up. If anything for the artwork, 16 pages straight of cool Sailor Moon screencaps. Pure eye candy!
