Meet Joe Black by Original Soundtrack (CD, Nov-1998, Universal Records USA)

I wore the first CD out and had to buy another one. Anything written and performed by Thomas Newman has got my vote. You owe it to yourself to listen

I fell in love with the soundtrack the very first time I saw the movie, there are some passages in the soundtrack that are simply superb. It´s was hard to find the soundtrack in my home country so I looked for it on E-bay and bought it for one third of the price i was supposed to pay at home ! I can highly recommend this album.

I bought this for one song but like the rest as well. My favorite song is "Somewhere over the rainbow/what a wonderful world". The movie is worth your time to watch or buy.

Music downloaders will be hard pressed to find any of these excellent tracks on the net for free or for sale. Israel Kamakawiwo'ole's famous Somewhere Over The Rainbow medley is included, as well as very fine dramatic music score and a lovely Titanic-esque version of "Let's Face The Music & Dance," which was the track I purchased this CD for. I have been delighted with the disc since I received it, and I think you will be too!

If you are a Thomas Newman fan this is a must have for your collection. It is unique and awe-inspiring and is worth the price alone for the last song over the rainbow/what a wonderful world. Everywhere freesia, walkaway and cold lamb sandwich are some of the most moving scores ever written. Don't hesitate to buy this album!!

While vacationing at the Outer Banks of North Carolina I had the opportunity of watching the movie "Meet Joe Black", a DVD that my granddaughter had brought along from home. I just really liked the theme music, which has been described as "hauntingly beautiful". So that is why I decided to buy the CD, which I have enjoyed very much.

If you love classical music, you'll love this cd. Great soundtrack. Even if you have never seen the movie...the score for this movie is stunning. It amazes me the sounds that are made with instruments.

Amazing music set to an amazing movie! The movie gives me a sense of wonder and peace everytime I see it, and the soundtrack reminds me of that! I am just getting into classical music after being a rock and roll fan all my life and this is just the music to make the transition to!!

If you liked the movie you will enjoy the sound track. This sound track is really nice for quiet listening when relaxing or as background driving music.

Thomas Newman is simply the best. Just like in Road to Perdition, the music totally concides with the action and you feel it with the characters. This soundtrack is one of the best.
