Excellent Visual and Historical Coverage
The castles of Spain, unlike their British, German, and French cousins, have received little coverage in English. For those of us who are uni-lingual or studied a language other than Spanish, there is a challenge to get good information on these relics of the past. Mr. Tejada has doen a excellent job in a survey of 30 Spanish Castles and Fortifications with examples ranging from the Roman thru the Moorish and into the Christion Reconquista period. Is photography is excellent capturing overall structure and details of style. In a slight, and delightful, departure from the norm, not only does he photograph the standard "looking up at the castle", but some taken looking down on the countryside from the castle's sentry's viewpoint.
Highly recommended.
