Medical Terminology for Health Professions by Ann B. Ehrlich, Carol L. Schroeder (2004, Paperback)

The book is laid out very well, covering each body system per chapter.

There is a lot of material to cover. I bought the text for an on-line 8 week class and it is very difficult to keep up. Trying to do the flash cards, the practise exercises and additional quizzes and games on the included CD are impossible in a short format class.

I don't like the number of practise exercises at the end of each chapter. I believe there are too many and take too long to complete. The answers should be included in the back of the book to help in study. With an on-line class, you don't have the luxury of checking them with an instructor.

The book is very precise and gives a full understanding needed for the course. The only drawback that I have is the binding is where the pages are easily slipped off and can be damged beyond repair.

This is a very well written book. Easy to follow, great definitions and pronunciation guides. Bought it for my online class.

I needed the book for a college course i'm taking. The price of the book was a lot less than the price i would have paid in the book store at my school. It's the same thing and i got it for a lot less. So who dosen't like that.

I love this book it talks to you like a person not like a doctor. The terminology is great and the explaination are just right.

The book was the exact book I had to have for the class. It came with everything even though it was a used book. It has given me all the information I've needed so far. I don't like the binding because the back and front few pages sometimes have to be put back on but that is my only complaint.

I had thorough chapters to learn from and I like that it has flashcards to practice with and interactive games to reinforce the learning.

the book did not come with everthing it promised and it was ship usps $2.00 postage , when i paid for it to be shipped 2-4 day ups almost $11.00 , it took a week and a half to recieve the book. my wife needed the book for a class, but did not have the book in time for her first week.

So far I have told myself, "Why have I not discover this years ago". This would have made health field little bit more organized and easier to learn. But one problem I have discovered is, the book does not provide answers to questions, which slows down the learning process.

This textbook is a very well organized guide for learning medical terminology. It comes with not just the text itself but also flashcards for helping with memorization, and a cd-rom for more tools to practice. The addition of the cd-rom allows the student to hear the correct pronunciation of the medical terms, which is definitely a plus. With this type of class, all of these tools combined could make for a successful experience, provided of course, that the tools are utilized.
