Medical-Surgical Nursing by Donna D. Ignatavicius (2005, Package)

This book if very well written,organized, and thorough on the topics it covers. It is a great book for student nurses or nurses who wish to review and refresh their skills. My only dislike is the cost is high,even for a used book, because it is a textbook.

I would score it a 5.5 on the scale above if I could... Not only is this book a requirement for my class, it is one you can enjoy reading and can relate to with everyday alements. It is a down to earth and simple to understand reading, containing all the rationals necessary for med-surg nursing. Highly recommended.

The book arrived in absolutely terrible condition. The text was not wrapped in plastic. The envelop it was shipped in was ripped. The text is bend, dirty, has moisture damage. The soiled condition is absolutely terrible. I am so disappointed! If I had known it would arrive looking like a used book I certainly would NOT have spent the money I did to purchase it!! The smart thing to do would be to better wrap the item. Now I am stuck with a book that looks like it has been used for the past 100 years and no one will do anything about it. I may never purchase on E-Bay again. This is the second text that was delivered in soiled, water damaged condition. We pay too much for these text books. I don't think it is too much to expect that "NEW" books arrive in good condition. Sure one can blame the postage handling but the responsibility begins with the seller packaging the item that safe guards the contents to the point of delivery. So maybe it is not so much not purchasing on E-bay but only buying from those individuals who take the time and concern to ship the items with the quality to protect against the weather and handling of shipping. Sadly no one takes responsibility or has any concerns once they have their money. As buyers we are stuck with the poor condition. This has been the most disappointing experience of ANY purchase I have made. This book was definitely in the worse shape possible and would caution others.

It's a nursing book. The book is in good condition and the cd is helpful but nothing to exciting. I bought it cause i needed it for nursing school and this was the cheapest one that was new.

This book has decent resources for careplanning common disease processes by NANDA diagnoses. If your nursing program requires you to cite your rationales and the pathophys of your client dx, this is the book for you! You can look up your NANDA or your dx, and then turn to the section to find some common interventions and rationales. It's weak in the psycho-social side of nursing, but it's a med-surg book anyway, so what can you expect? One of the better textbooks I've had to suffer...

Great book! Get the partner study guide to go with it. Very helpful...and the book's website has useful tools to get through the course.

This book has so much information. It's kind of overwhelming at first, but it has precise and informative details. Good book for nursing students...

I needed it for my nursing school class! This book is one of my instructors favorite books! The book is kinda hard to read, but it helps me to pass nursing school!

This is a great resource for you med-surg class or pathophysiology class....I suggest that you make sure that a workbook and CD are included with your purchase because these things along with the book are great study tools!

The product was in the condition the seller said in his advert. The price was reasonable though the shipping was a bit higher than others but overall it was good and I felt very pleased when I got it. Whoever started this idea is a genius. It has helped a lot of low income people essepecially with the high cost of text book these days. Thanks

This book is indeed the worst book I have ever purchased. I am very disappointed because the book was very used, highlighted and marked all over. The seller knew what they were doing when they did not write a description for this book. This definitely taught me a lesson, not to buy a book without seeing a full description of the book. the seller noted that the book was used, but she didn't say how used it was! I regret this purchase and I think that from now on I will purchase my books on amazon.com.
