The Measure of a Lady by Deeanne Gist (2006, Paperback)

I loved this book! It is so well written, so engrossing, sooooo romantic but NOT explicit (it is Christian fiction), I couldn't put it down - read it in one night! I wish she had some more books coming out soon.....

This book arrived in great condition. It was better than I expected. I was very excited and pleased at the book's condition. I would order from this source again.

This is the second book by this author that I've read, both of which I enjoyed. The story line was set in California at the time of the gold rush, but depicted a point of view from the city, not in the gold fields, which was different. I enjoyed the fact that the author included historical facts in her christian fiction writing. The characters were also real to life and dealt with real life situations of that period. I intend to read more of Deeanne Gist's books.

I ordered this book because I happen to pick another one of her book up that was on sale at the Christian Book Store. She is a great author and I can't wait to read more of her books.

I had previously read "A Bride Most Begrudging" by the same author (Deeanne Gist) and enjoyed it. However, I was supprised and disappointed in the inappropriate descriptiveness in this book. I certainly did not expect such from a respectable Christian publishing company or a Christian author. I have a teenage sister that usually borrows my books, but she will not get this one. If you are looking for CLEAN Christian fiction, I would NOT recommend this book.

This is a GREAT multi-faceted book with humor, romance, drama, spirituality. I truely have not wanted to put it down.

Another Great Christian novel from Deeanne Gist. Deeanne Gist does a great job on series and this was one of her best. I highly recommend her books and especially this series.

I read the first book in this series, Bride Most Begrudging, and found it quite enjoyable. This second book is equally enjoyable, fluidly paced and I found that I finished it before I knew it. I look forward to the third book in the series!
