Contrary to popular belief, Book and Game Characters totally Rock today and forever more. Max Payne (Mark Wahlberg), is the good cop turned bad (or just moody), that is, until we learn to hate to love him, that is. Bigger is better, and this is certainly as big as it gets in Tinseltown. Wow-eeeee.....!

With the advent of multiple technological events culminating together at once, we all, most certainly, simultaneously witness the jump in high quality storytelling culminated in the comic book character's popularity mixed together the culmination of CGI technology and the superhero film genre.

Before the story begins, we see a very dead Max Payne drowning one week after the untold story. This obsessively burnt out, dead beat, pencil pushing detective, who once knew happiness, has hit the dregs of society because he has nothing else to believe in.

Gosh doggy! I think that we all must automatically relate to this superhero ITEM. Max Payne must be the super-bad, super non-functioning COP of the 21st Century. Why did he even trust the scummy characters he relied on the MOST to give him the heads up on his dog sniffing capability? That's because he just did. Don't let his contacts let you believe otherwise. He was looking for what was, and still is, his wife and child's murderers. He will not stop until he get his KILLER(s).

The end lets us all see exactly how far he will go when comments to us "I must be seeing Angels."

He gets a boost in the end from the one true source that he had been fighting all along.

If you don't see any other movie thriller this year or the next, you must see this one. It will not disappoint you.

I personally adore this film. I know a lot of people didn't, but I feel it was headed in the right direction. Excellent visual effects and a flawless style, the "Max Payne" blu-ray disc rates a perfect 10.

Great movie a lot suspense and action is good to watch a movie like this I recommended to everyone specialy now on bluray the graphics looks amazing

Excellent quality!! The sharpness and effects blows my mind!! I loved the game for the PS2, they did a transition into the movie. I was glad when i watched it in theater, but loved it better on Blu Ray.

Not a big fan of Mark Wahlberg, but this movie was okay. Nothing to get out of your seat for, but worth watching once, especially in HD. This movie has a great picture in high-def, makes the movie a bit better.

At times it reminds me of Sin City they way it was filmed. Outside of that there is really only a couple good action scenes, most memorable is when they remake the slow motion sequence that is in the video game. I was hoping the movie would be more grittier like the video game. But it was made at a PG-13 level - I assume so kids who actually play the game could enjoy watching it too.

I would recommend renting this, but I wouldnt buy this on DVD.

Everything I received was fast, in great condition as was stated in the sale, and buy it now price was GREAT! Would absolutely recommend buying from seller. I ordered 2 other dvd's that day from other sellers and still haven't received them yet.
Max Payne is a great movie and especially in Blu-Ray. Recommend it to anyone who likes Mark Wahlberg and or thriller movies.

we bought the movie and watched it a few nights ago, and it was just a weird movie thats the best word to describe it. story line was boring the ending left you wondering what happened, and the actors werent that good i wouldnt recommend buying the movie

I went into Max Payne thinking I was in for another disappointment when it comes to video games being brought to the big screen, I was wrong. I've played the game and I thought it was good.
I loved the whole soldiers taking a liquid drug to make them feel invincible to the whoever they were at war with, which sometimes feels like that could be coming around the corner any day now. When the head bad guy starts acting like he's some kind of god from the drugs I started thinking "Can't wait till Payne kicks his Ass!"
As a story, I think it is a clever mystery story including fabled occult beliefs from the Norse mythology and when Max starts seeing them after taking the drug to get to the bad guys is pretty friggin' sweet. I felt the film ended as good as any film noir could end after the resolution of the characters.
This Looks great in Blu-ray and its a good buy.

This movie is great from start to finish, I was skeptical regarding it, but once watching it, it has a great storyline and very good action

Typical but very good story, special effects are great and the acting is very good, very good movie worth buying.

Great movie , lots of action! pretty good story , follows the video game of the same name. Mark Walberg , Mila Kunis were great . blu-ray is awesome,you can see every detail.

Max Payne commercials looked good. Action was great, but the ending will leave you disappointed. Must watch in HD!! Must wait for after credits for a possible sneak peak at the next Max Payne.

Great action scenes lots of killing, somewhat boring storyline ok for a mindless hacker action packed movie,

Nice graphics and clean picture for BLURAY!!! plot was ok and the acting was good. Was kind of confusing if have not played the game,but was very entertaining.
