    Written ages ago, it is relevant for today. Matthew Henry was a progressive thinker and a very well-informed scholar. You will find that his simple explanations of complicated scripture are refreshing and enlightening. I would recommend this book to anyone who keeps their Bible and Concordance close at hand. It is a very large book, containing extensive explanations and cross-references. Excellent for comparative and extensive research.
