Dang good movie, with a better story than Reloaded

I'd ask everyone who's going to see Revolutions to do is to put the original The Matrix out of your mind as much as possible - not in terms of story, but in terms of your expectations. The first movie will always be the best of the bunch, because its narrower focus allowed it to function in a more efficient fashion - it was a simple good vs. evil story with few characters and a beginning, a middle and an end. Reloaded and Revolutions are not simple, they take place in a much larger world, and they incorporate much more complex themes than a straightforward battle between the good and the bad. But where Reloaded stumbles under the weight of all this additional baggage, Revolutions picks it up and runs with it. It's not a perfect film, but then, few are. At its core, Revolutions is an entertaining thrill ride of a movie with some philosophical overtones but enough punch to make the effort to understand it all worthwhile. And really, in terms of wrapping up this trilogy, I couldn't have asked for anything more.
