Description
The Matrix: Path of Neo follows the story of the blockbuster motion picture trilogy and for the first time allow gamers to play as Neo and become "the One". As Neo, the choices the player makes to resolve each scenario and the resulting consequences may have a different result than the original films. Alternative scenarios filled with new characters, content and storylines have all been written and planned by the Wachowski Brothers to expand the Matrix universe. From the cell call to Neo's former self Thomas Anderson to the flying street battle in the rain against Agent Smith, you are in control. Dodge bullets, master martial arts, read codes, fly, run and jump off walls in the battle for humanity.

Special Features
  • A "Director's Cut' of the original movie footage from all three films and The Animatrix as cinematic sequences to progress the story told from Neo's perspective. Exclusive to THE MATRIX PATH OF NEO, the footage was edited by Zach Staenberg working side by side with the Wachowski Brothers.
  • A full orchestral score playing in surround sound, developed to follow the action of the game. In addition, the games' soundtrack features original songs by the bands featured in the Matrix films.
  • Use martial arts, medieval weapons and guns (lots of guns) to take on a variety of enemies, such as heavily armed SWAT officers; Agents of the Matrix, including Agent Smith; and Exiles in the employ of the Merovingian. To help prepare for these battles, there are several training levels which Neo must complete.
  • Enhanced "Bullet Time" special effects from the films allow gamers to dodge bullets, jump off walls and defy gravity and logic to recreate its most memorable scenes.
  • A more sophisticated martial arts engine over Enter The Matrix to give gamers the true feeling of being "the One".

      Story
The Matrix™: Path of Neo (PlayStation®2)
Set in the Matrix film universe, The Matrix: Path of Neo will enable players to play as Neo, and relive his most important and memorable scenarios from the complete film trilogy. Throughout the game, the path the player takes to resolve each scenario and the resulting consequences will be scripted and directed by the Wachowski Brothers. The likenesses of all of the films' key actors—including Keanu Reeves (Neo), Laurence Fishburne (Morpheus), Carrie-Anne Moss (Trinity), and Hugo Weaving (Agent Smith)—are included in The Matrix: Path of Neo, which will also incorporate footage from all three feature films, as well as The Animatrix.

The game includes several sequences of film-quality live-action, full-motion footage (FMV), as well as Hollywood-quality effects sequences.

Throughout the game players will use martial arts, medieval weapons and guns (lots of guns) to take on a variety of enemies, such as heavily armed Agents of the Matrix, including Agent Smith and Exiles in the employ of the Merovingian.

      Features

      • The experience of being "the One" and facing the challenges that Neo faced in the movies will not be an entirely familiar one. Many scenarios encountered in The Matrix: Path of Neo are exclusive to the game and were not seen or experienced in the films.

      • The game will have the same "Bullet Time" special effects from the films that will allow gamers to dodge bullets and jump off walls to defy gravity and logic to recreate its most memorable scenes.

      • Gamers will experience new powers such as flying, telekinesis and "Neo Vision," the ability to read code as they evolve as Neo and become "the One."

      • All-new FMV footage has been created, directed and edited by the Wachowski Brothers.

      • The game features more than one hour of re-edited movie footage from the original film to tell the story from Neo's point of view like a director's cut in a video game.

      • Amazing new characters and locations not seen in the films that expand the Matrix storyline through the end of The Matrix: Revolutions.

      • All-new music has been composed as synth-produced sketches, which will be tweaked and implemented into the game build.

      • The game also includes the martial arts choreography of Yuen Wo Ping and enhances the already extensive libraries of moves that were originally recorded for the trilogy. Additional sessions were recorded to capture even more moves to ensure that gamers would have an authentic experience as Neo.
