Editorial Reviews "...An ideal rental for the legions of kids..." -- Rating: B+ Entertainment Weekly - p.84 - Melissa Pierson (12/20/1996)
"...A delightfully twisted fairy tale that artfully juggles broad tom-foolery and sly drollery, along with a generous serving of sight gags enhanced by special effects..." Variety - Leonard Klady (08/05/1996)
"...Darkly comic....MATILDA doesn't condescend to children, it doesn't sentimentalize, and as a result it feels heartfelt and sincere. It's funny too..." Chicago Sun-Times - Roger Ebert (08/02/1996)
