Another Over-priced exaple of the Textbook Ripoff

Here's the deal - you have to go to school and the booksellers have either paid off the schools or the schools are stupid. Tiny changes from edition to edition "justify" requiring the newest edition for each semester. The result? Huge costs for students with no alternative but to buy the latest versions of what changes very little. Listen folks, Math is Math. Little changes. My daughter could have and should have been able to learn for the 10th or 9th or 8th or 7th edition of this "learned tome" just as well as from the 11th edition she was forced to buy.
This is a scam of huge proportions foisted on families across the country that guarantees lost of costs and lots of earlier editions trashed at the landfill.
Want to stop it? Tell your colleges that they HAVE to allow the use of the last edition in their classes. This one change would cut the cost of these overpriced textbooks in half.
Best!
