Pros:
Game looks very good, many moves and tricks.

Cons:
Control scheme is poor, gameplay is repetitious.

Quick Facts: Mat Hoffman s Pro BMX for Game Boy Color. (Also will work on Gameboy and Game Boy Advance). About $5 at the time of this writing, 1 player. Released by Activision in March of 2001, rated E for everyone. Extreme Sports Genre. Full Review: I m not an extreme sports guy. Back in the day, I definitely played some California Games, even some Skate or Die. However, extreme sports aren t really my thing, so current gaming hits like SSX (Snowboarding) and Tony Hawk s Pro Skater don t really hold anything for me. So why then, am I reviewing Mat Hoffman s Pro BMX for the GBC? It was given..

Pros:
BMX, cool tricks

Cons:
Didn't live up to it's hype

Matt Hoffman Pro BMX seemed to take forever to come out. I read about it a lot before it came out and sites were talking about how great it would be with the Tony hawk engine in it so I couldn't wait to go out and buy it. First things first. There are plentry of great Pro's in this game including of coarse the living legend of BMX Matt Hoffman. Other's joining him in the game are Mike Escamilla, Keven Robinson, Simon Tabron, Rick Thorne, Dennie MCcoy, Joe Kowalski, and Cory Nastazio. Plenty of excelent talent in hear. Each person has some of there tricks that they are known for in real life...

  Good but could be better

Pros:
Moves, sceneries.

Cons:
Confusing points, soundtrack.

I saw this game as a demo version in the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 CD. I thought it was quite good and since I had liked so much TH I thought it would be just as good. About a week after finishing TH I bought this CD. My first impression was regarding the soundtrack: it didn't match the game at all. While some of the moves where exciting and/or complicated, the background music made it boring, as it didn't have a good speed for what you were doing. Seemed as if the sound had stopped while you were playing. Different from TH, since the soundtrack on that game were very exciting and all - I mean.
