Plot Description:

Police officer Frank Spivey saves a disfigured young woman named Jenifer from being slaughtered by a crazy old man. He takes her into his home because she has nowhere else to go, but starts to become obsessed with her. Soon, it becomes clear that there are problems with Jenifer that turn Frank's life upside-down. He realizes that there is only one thing that will keep Jenifer from hurting anyone else and let him return to a normal life.

Jenifer is a classic love story with a sick twist. Jenifer not only horribly disfigured, but also cannibalistic.

Jenifer isn't a movie for the easily disgusted as just looking at Jenifer will make you a little ill. But some of the scenes that take place in this film are quite disturbing.

Steven Weber (as Frank Spivey) and Carrie Fleming (as Jenifer) both do a great job in this film. Jenifer is one of the better Master of Horror films, and it definately does the series justice.

Rent or Buy?: If you're big fan of the Masters of Horror series you probably already own this one. If you haven't seen a Masters of Horror episode I wouldn't recommend this being your first purchase, I'd save that recommendation for Incident on and off Mountain Road or Deer Woman.

Another in the masters of horror series. This is an example of Argento at his best, I loved this movie. A cop happens to be in the area where a hatchet wielding man is about to kill this brutely disfigured women who has a body to "kill for". The cop shoots and kills the man and now feels responsible to care of this women, Jenifer. Obviously Jenifer is not all she appears to be, and you find out that this man had good reason in trying to kill her. Graphic violence and sex, not for the kiddies.

It is one of the gross mini-movies of the Masters of Horror collection. I liked the fact that they made this "Jenifer character" horribly scary and disgusting. Makes it easier for you to hate her. The black eyes are a sure scare factor every time. The only problem is that they did not have to involve a little girl in the movie to be eaten. Just didn't have to do it.
They did make a right move in leaving out of the movie what they did not show in the original film, well, what they "cut out", well you will find out. I am just a Masters of Horror fan. They are fun to watch if you are a "Horror Fan".

This horror movie is not for the squemish nor is it for the weak at heart. It is purely hardcore in the sense of gore and absolute hoplessness for the victims of Jenifer. It seems that the idea for this entire film was inspired by the idea of a true Succubus. A mythical creature that craves sex and blood; and can easily drive men absolutely insane. Your not a true horror connoisseur until you've seen this movie.

I am a freelance script (screenplay) writer. That means I'm better than amature but not near professional. This movie had MAJOR, HUGE, wholes in the script. Weak story line could have been juiced up. It never explains why Jennifer is the way she is. The ending suggests that her life is a repeated chain of events. (I won't provide spoilers!!) Why would a cop get sexually involved when he appeared to have it 'OK' at home? (Wife has a similar body!) Why didn't his police pals ever bother to check up on Frank? They just vanish out of the film? How about the wife and kid? Just gone by cab, like that?? NOBODY misses the victims (which include a LITTLE girl!!) After that cat episode, I'd have just taken her back to that asylam/hospital. This movie needed another half hour to explain things or it needs a 'prequil'. As other reviews say, this movie in not for the easily offended or fainted hearted. It's 'Dawn of The Dead' meets 'Fatal Attraction' on PMS. The final grade is a 'C' (great acting) that could have EASILY been an 'A' via a serious writers tune up. I was left dissappointed.

I love this movie. Theres just something about a creepy chick with great boobs...I guess you could call her a butter face (shes all hot but-her-face).
I rented it first. But I had to buy it. Great story. Ive seen nothing like it.....and I watch a lot of horror. By far one of my favorites in the Masters of Horror collection.

One bizarre movie, on DVD. Quite unique compared to the ordinary genre of horror films. The killer is effectively cast as an innocent victim, despite her violent nature; and a police detective, becomes her pathetic love slave, knowingly protecting her from exposure, while disposing of the bodies! If you like movies about sex, then this ones for you. I did not think there was anything scary about it. It is watchable, just not what i expected. Nothing is explained in the movie, like why she is the way she is. Just leaves you wondering.

My girlfriend bought this movie because I have an ex named Jennifer.
I guess she wanted to gross me out by word association or something, it worked.
This movie blows.
It is full of lousy B-movie special effects, and is at sometimes sickening.

If you like cheesy horror movies, you might not "hate" it.
but I wouldn't recomend it.

the whole movies is sexual abuse on a mentally ill girl. whole movies is sex, and very low budget. i wouldn't sudject buying this movie at all, i wouldn't of paid 1.00 for it if i would of known..... not horror at all,,,nothing scarey about the whole movie........don't buy....don't buy...don't buy....

This film is graphic and grabs the audience from the first few frames and drives them hard. One of the Master of Horror's best efforts. She is almost a perfect 10...................

I have been renting every on of the Masters of Horror videos for about a week now. This is the fifth one I have seen and it is BY FAR my least favorite. Don't get me wrong the quality of the production and the acting are great, but the Jennifer character (or thing) absolutely drove me nuts! She spent the entire movie crying, whimpering slurping or cooing. The premise of the movie was great but who needs to be reminded of an ex girlfriend wife or bad date when you are trying to enjoy a movie!

I got this for someone else, but I was too scared to watch it...so i guess my review doesn't count...I opened the packaged and the picture scared the crap outta me! So there...that's my review! and that's all I have to say about that!

An excellent Seller and Fast shipping! Would buy again from seller. I had bought this movie because I could not find it at blockbuster. What i had liked most about this movie was that, it was still sealed and new; just like the seller said it would be. I can't say too much about not liking this movie, besides i am a hugh fan of the masters of horror movies. Overall this was a great price for this movie and hope to find others real shortly.

I liked it because it was a horror movie and it involved a girl, I thought it was going to be a good movie and it was, but it was kind of a weird one though, but it was a good movie and a must buy for all.
