Masters of Horror - Incident (On and Off Mountain Road)

I love slasher films, even though they're completely predictable and always end the same.

Incident (On and Off Mountain Road) is a typical slasher film, with a twist. It follows a beautiful young lady on a midnight drive who ends up in an automobile accident. The film then goes back and forth between past and present.

The flashback mode was a great way to keep this movie fresh. Incident basically tells two stories simultaneously, which I thought was really cool.

The beautiful Bree Turner is superb as Ellen, and Ethan Embry does a very good job as Bruce. The scene stealer though is John DeSantis (13 Ghosts, The 13th Warrior) who plays Moonface. The only reason I say that he is a scene stealer is because he's like 15 feet tall a built like a truck.

The combination of innovative story telling and an awesome ending are what make this movie so great.

Rent or Buy?: If you're a fan of Slasher films, Incident will be one of your favorite Masters of Horror films. Even if you're not a huge fan, the simultaneous story telling will keep you glued you you T.V. set. This movie is a definite buy.
