Excellent Book

This book does an excellent job of educating a layman on how hormones affect energy levels while providing specific guildelines on how to correct and rebalance your own body's energy issues.
It is not an easy read - I took notes and referred to them often as I progressed through the book. It's a complex subject and I'm on my second read through.... I did immmediately embrace the Richard's suggestions and after 3 weeks can see significant improvements in how I feel, how I sleep and feel much more alert! I highly recommend it but suggest you treat it more like a "course" than a lecture!
The diagrammed pages helped but I found myself doodling my own diagrams of cause and effect to keep clear about how everything (hormones, triggered reactions)functioned.
All in all, well worth the investment of time and money. I've followed up with two other leptin subject books - Leo Gallant's "Fat Resistance" and Rosedale's "The Rosedale Diet". Gallant's book supports Richard's work with a few subtle differences. I'm barely into Rosedale's book but so far they concur in the proper prescriptive approach.
