Masada - Miniseries (DVD, 2007, 2-Disc Set)

I saw this movie when it was a mini series on T.V., I was very impressed by the overall movie then, and have been waiting for it to be put on DVD. The quality of this DVD is very good, which makes it that much more enjoyable to watch. It is a little slow at first while the plot is layed out, but he overall movie is great. It was great to see again finally.

recommended by our Pastor before our trip to Israel. It is a wonderful movie, lots of history. It was very long and on two disks so I had to watch it in pieces, but it was well presented and had sections for watching at different times.

A very long, very good movie, particularly if you have an interest in Israel's history. It is not a political movie at all, but tells the story of Masada and it's battle. The effects are a bit dated but still a highly recommended film...

thank you, the movie arrived in a timely manner in new condition just as stated. This movie is to be about the Romans final conquer of the Jews in Isreal and the building of the Roman Empires fortress/palace known as Masada. In the building of this place, many Jews were forced to build and lost their lives in the process. Portions of this palace are still in Isreal today and since I and my daughters have a trip planned to Isreal, we purchased the movie to see if we could gain insight as to what happened. We have not had opportunity to watch this movie yet but look forward to it.

Many years ago I remember watching the miniseries "Masada" on television and was intrigued by this beautiful story. Recently I had the privilege of visiting the Holy Land and going to Masada. The story came to life for me as I stood in those very places depicted (and filmed) in the miniseries. When I returned home I searched the movie rental stores for the video and then decided to try Ebay. There it was and I had it within 3 days. I have been able to share the video with my fellow travelers and we love it. Thanks. Ebay!

Recently visited Masada for the second time in 30 years. Was hoping to learn more about the history of the place, unfortunately, the movie takes a number of liberties with the facts. It deals mostly with the story of the war and siege at Masada, not when, who, and how the place was built. It also does not show much about the place visually.
Good cast of actors, a little dated in style.

This is a wonderful movie. I fully expected to not enjoy it, but I was wrong. It has become one of my favorites.

I was most pleased to see this movie that put a visual perspective on the battle for Massada. I have been to Massada so the movie was most impressive.
