Mary Pride's Complete Guide to Getting Started in Homeschooling by Mary Pride (2004, Paperback)

This is an awesome buy for anyone wanting to make the plunge into homeschooling and have no idea where to start. I decided to buy this because it came highly recommended from everyone I talked to about homeschooling and in almost every piece of information I found on the internet. I now know why it was such a highly recommended book and will continue to use it for years to come!!!!!

Pros:
If you don't know where to begin with homeschooling - this is the book for you! Very informative!! You will want to own your own copy so that you can underline and keep as a reference! God tugs on your heart to homeschool, but you don't know where to begin....this book is the place to start!!!

Cons:
This ould be a con for some, but certainly not for me! :) It is written from a conservative christian perspective. If you are liberal or non-christian..you may be offended by opinions in the book. If these opinions offend you and you are able to look past them, it would still be beneficial to you. But to the conservative christian - this is THE book to have 1st!

This book is so great. It covers all the basics and is truly a must read for beginning home-schooling families. It has a comprehensive resource list which I found particularly helpful.
