Mary, Mary by James Patterson (2005, Hardcover)

I'll make this brief, for those familiar with James Patterson and Alex Cross, this is a welcome addition to the series - a very enjoyable read! It's your regular Patterson Who-Dunnit and you surely won't be disappointed! The saga between Alex and his ex continues into areas that make you downright angry, but.... concerning that, it has a suprise ending that I won't mention.

For those not familiar with Patterson or Cross, then this is really a quick and exciting read that will leave you guessing until the very end...maybe. Patterson doesn't leave you in the dust either. You can pick up this book and still not be lost in the series. If anything, it makes you want to pick up the books from the beginning of the series. It would be worth your while to do so. Getting to know Alex Cross is a good thing, he's gone through a lot! Nonetheless, Mary, Mary is recommended for a quick murder/mystery fix and I can't wait for The 5th Horseman coming out in February, the next book in the Woman's Murder Club series!

Mary, Mary is Another great book from Patterson!

I loved it all the way till the end, and then I really didn't like it so much.

Don't get me wrong, this book is well written, and traps you in its mystery. The ending just doesn't do it for me. I don't know what it was about the ending that made me so mad, but I just felt dissapointed by it. It wasn't predictable, and it was a good twist, something just didn't sit well with me.

I wish I could just tell you the ending and tell you exactly why I didn't like it, but I don't want to ruin the story for anybody else.

Borrow or Buy?: If you're a Patterson fan the ending won't bother you (my mother loved it) but being new to Patterson, I think this isn't his best work. That being said, up until the part that disappointed me this was my favorite Patterson novel, Go figure. A good read ending problems or no ending problems.

It is another great Alex Cross novel and Patterson at his best. The are lots of twists and turns as only Patterson can do and the suspense makes this another page turner. I stayed up all night so that I could get to the end. You will love this one.

HUGE James Patterson Fan, Mary Mary throws you back into the world of FBI Agent Alex Cross. Anybody who has read James Patterson books knows that Dr Cross is one of Patterson's main characters in his books. The book picks up when Dr. Cross is on vacation with his family and is interupted by work. The Killer known as Mary Smith has struck. As always this is edge of your seat stuff! Keeps you guessing and trying to figure out who is Mary Smith. The Short chapters keep you wanting to read more, putting the book down can be difficult! If you have never read any of James Patterson's novels and are a mystery/crime nut(like me) this Alex Cross book is a MUST. Role on late Novemeber when the new Patterson book "Cross" comes out.

Alex Cross is back as Patterson's intrepid FBI agent who works as hard gathering clues from inside the mind of the criminal as he does from the crime seen. Why is Mary killing famous Hollywood types and who is Mary. James Patterson doen't give the reader a break until the thrill ride comes to crashing halt. This is one of Patterson's best and that is saying a lot.

Being a big James Patterson fan hubby bought this for me for Christmas. Was a little disappointed, not nearly as good as Along Came a Spider and Kiss The Girls. From all the reviews on TV was expecting something with more suspense. It's ok but not one of my favorites.

This was a good book, but I was disappointed in that I thought it would be better. I fell into the advertising excitement of it all. Kudos to the marketing team! Worth checking out at the library.

I LOVE ALEX CROSS, BUT PATTERSON LEFT TOO MUCH OUT, I THINK HE SHOULD HAVE EXPLAINED HOW THE KILLER DID WHAT HE/SHE DID.IT LEFT ME WITH QUESTIONS.PLEASE LET ALEX HAVE A LASTING RELATIONSHIP, THE POOR MAN NEEDS IT. I WILL STILL READ ANYTHING PATTERSON PUTS OUT.

I look forward to the "next" Alex Cross book as I am sure many do, but I was disappointed with "Mary Mary". It was short, predictable, and left me with the feeling that Alex is stuck in a rut. There are hints of possible future happiness for our hero detective,just not yet. "Mary Mary" is not on the same par as "Kiss the Girls" or "Along Came a Spider". I was not thrilled or suspended and barely grossed out. I am keeping my copy, just to keep my collection complete. If you have not purchased a copy yet, I would suggest you borrow before you buy.

Another GREAT Dr. Cross novel. Even at one chapter at a time it becomes another of my special editions. A Must Have for any Patterson Fan!

I read all of James Patterson's books.This one is a good mystery that keeps you guessing until the very end. The price on Half.Com was a good price, better than any bookstore.

I bought this book because I love James Patterson's books.
If I didn't know better, I would think that it was written by someone else.
I didn't like this book at all. It lacked the detail and richness of character of his other books.

I like the Alex Cross series, so I wanted to read the newest one. It is a good one. I'm not wuite finished, but it lives up to the standards set with past novels.

I am a huge James Patterson fan and I especially like his Alex Cross novels. I just finished reading Mary, Mary and as usual I was not disapointed. The way he keeps you wondering and throws in a twist or two in the case. The caracter devlopment makes me feel like I know these people personaly. I keep hoping that one day Alex will find his true love. He deserves it.

Now this is the way it's supposed to be. A good book with a good story line and in excellent condition. Took the book on a trip with me and couldn't put it down. James Patterson has never disappointed me. A good read.

I like the author, James Patterson. The book was priced right; it arrived in brand new condition & the seller had positive feedback. I will be checking back with this seller for additional, new books, (I've read his older ones) once I finish reading Mary, Mary.

This book is a continuation of the Series of homicide detective Alex Cross. All of James Patterson's Novels are excellent. I have not read one book that I did not enjoy. Lots of suspense and mystery. I would recommend any of his books.

The is the first book I have read by James Patterson. Throughout the entire book I kept guessing who dunit! (I kept guessing wrong by the way.) It will keep you guessing until the very end. This book is worth every penny, perhaps being a book you will read more than once.

This was another entertaining Alex Cross mystery. I enjoy this character, the family references, the psychological analysis involved in the solution of the crime. Overall, I think, Alex is the best lead character in all the mystery books out there. I would read every story featuring him.

I am a big fan of James Paterson's Alex Cross character. I am looking to buy all of the books in this series.
